Some arts have the effect where you can dodge an attack for the duration of that move but its only on specific classes, it should say evade on the art that can do it. Its hard for cpus to use it effectively so its better to manually dodge, a good way to dodge an attack is to wait for the name of the attack the enemy is using by the top of the screen usually
