I've been in covers band for much of my 45 years plus as a musician, never ever had the pleasure of playing well loved songs with those musicians that actually wrote the song(s) originally! Very, very impressed!
BOC one of my all time favorites these bastards get no respect there like the Rodney dangerfield of rock N roll should have been in the RARHOF 30 years ago still one of the best bands EVER
My first concert was Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult in the Omni in Atlanta 1981 and this was their hit song at the time on the radio! And they had a giant godzilla on stage when they played Godzilla! Freaking awesome concert!!!
Saw the same lineup in the early 2000's. Although I think Foghat had only 1 original member left and BOC 2 or 3. It's how I was introduced to Richie. I was like, who is this young nerdy dude with a beard shredding with BOC, then find Band Geek 15 years later and I'm like holy shit, this is the guy!! My 3 year old and I are huge fans of everything Richie does.
We love Band Geeks. My husband and I are long time fans of BTO. We have seen them multiple times in concert. We are both musicians (drummers). My husband played in a wedding/club band 40+ years. We love your choice of cover songs and have played many of them also. You guys are really good and love watching your videos.
You guys do a great job. Would LOVE to hear Band Geek do versions of "Joan Crawford", "Godzilla" and "Take me away" Really digging your awesome covers. HOW are those no talent ass clowns Kraftwerk in the RHOF and BOC isn't???????
Good mix
I love this song
This is excellent 😎
I am such a HUGE fan of BOC. I have all their albums and have seen them in concert 3 times all the way back to 1979. Thanks for sharing, Richie.
No Band Geek. You're all Rock star Geeks!
Just found this! Back in their hometown of Smithtown. Grew up there. Good shit!
Great drummer

I saw them the same week in Charlotte.
I saw 'em with Black Sabbath in 1980...the "Black and Blue tour"...it...was...epic, to say the least.
@@anthonyhedberg6471 I saw that same concert in Kansas City Halloween night of 1980. Epic is the only word for it.

Bachman Turner Overdrive?
Öysters are served. A sublime performance.
Their set at the Holiday Inn on Thursday during happy hour is good too. Seem down to earth and drinks are half price

Nicely done, however I think the keyboards should be 'Just a little" more prominent in the mix. Good recording .
