I can't thank you for uploading these videos enough. Let me explain, my dad who passed away years ago was from Edinburgh. I used to go up there (from Newcastle) with him all the time. He's been gone for years now and I've never taken the time to go myself. You've brought some evocative memories back to me and well it even made me cry in a good way. Thank you so much.
I've been living in Edinburgh the past few years to go to uni here and it just makes my heart warm to see other people visiting the city I've fallen in love with! I have some weird possessive feeling over it even though I'm not from here
It’s my dad who does the one o’clock gun 😁😁😊😊 ( others do it to but he does it the most ) I stood behind it before and forgot I was filming and I swore in it and sent it to my dad forgetting I swore and I’m only eleven so he was mad.
Pete not going til hopefully November. I tell him about your dad. I been to Edinburgh and Castle. I'll let you know The date. So maybe he can meet say hello to your dad. He going to be delighted. Keep you posted sweetly. We EnglishbI think? We adore Scotland I feel home there. Keep ypumposted. He love to meet your dad xxxx
The blackened buildings/architecture you see throughout Britain are due to coal fired industry and industrial smog in the 19th and early 20th century. Some stone types were more susceptible, most of the historic buildings in London have been cleaned.
Google blackened buildings + clean air act. All industrial towns and cities suffered from it, Edinburgh was no exception. Noticed any rural sandstone outcrops that are black?
Lang may yet lum reek! (Translation "long may your chimney smoke" i.e. Have a long life!) Edinburgh is also known as "Auld Reekie". Reekie in this case meaning smelly, not just smelly smoke but, in the days before sewage systems were a thing, there was a fair old stench!
I remember as a young child driving in our family car through London & past the Natural History Museum, an imposing black gothic edifice. Roll on a number of years and this time it was I who was was driving my Dad past the same building. It had been renovated & cleaned of all it's soot and it was another building entirely with fantastic coloured brickwork and stone that had been totally hidden from sight previously!
This is so funny to watch. Being from Scotland and having visited local landmarks many times it’s just our norm and we probably take it for granted, so seeing tourists visit and feel so excited is so fun to watch.
About the castle price, you just need to remember the historical value of the castle to both Edinburgh and Scotland as a whole. It’s also like one of the main tourist attractions in Scotland.
450 million years ago, Scotland was part of the same continent as North America. Since then it split away as the Atlantic ocean formed. So the extinct volcano the castle stands was created during the early stages of the formation of the Atlantic Ocean.
I missed this when you posted it, but Edinburgh was the first place I lived outside the US and I fell absolutely in love with it. The Scott Monument is amazing, I used to wait for a bus there and then go out to a little town in the country where the scenery was gorgeous. That was in 2008 and I haven't been back since I moved away in 2009, I really should go back!
Happy travels up north. As you go up into the Highlands it's like a moonscape appearing around you. Then as you crest the ridge and start descending amazing vistas of moors & fields & rivers & valleys. Absolutely stunning. (On a business trip several many (30+ ?) years ago had one free day & drove straight north from Stirling to Loch Ness then back down the west coast at high speed on the "wrong" side of narrow roads with dry laid rock walls where the white lines are "supposed" to be (for USA folks) screeching to a stop taking pictures of anything that caught our eye. Still a strong memory.
As a bus driver in edinburgh, the best advice I can give you is, ask, ask the driver to let you know where to get off, the driver does know how much money you put in, but you still need to specify what type of ticket you need, or if you need more than 1. There are travel shops around the city to buy passes and it would have been better value for you too.
Your descriptions of the various cities, towns and villages you visit are so eloquent. Love the insights you give and I look forward to your future videos. The 'outtakes' are spot on too! Keep up the good work.
With the older generation, places like London,Paris,Rome etc were what tourists visited, but now, thanks to "You-Tube",the world has broadened its horizons and places like,Edinburgh,Prague,Bucharest etc are begining to attract attention. Great clip folks!
Some of my fondest memories growing up is when my great aunt Betty would come to visit from Scotland, and she would always bring sweets with her. Tablet was one of them! I’m happy to see you trying all the things lol
The hill you didn't get to climb, because of the weather, "Arthur's Seat" is an extict volcano. The very one the Castle Rock was spewed from and on which they built Edinburgh Castle. There are also two other plugs that were shot out, which landed nearly 50 miles away on the East Coast. One is called Berwick Law and the other is the Bass Rock and is a seabird sanctuary.
Really enjoyed this and learned a lot. Kyde and Eric are just fun, authentic travel companions. Kind of like good friends giving you an heads-up look at these places.
I'm Edinburgh born and bred and still enjoyed your video, you two are amazing together. Full marks too for taking the time to learn the correct pronunciation of Edinburgh. Be sure to visit us again.
Once again great video guys! To those interested: Dolly the sheep was basically cloned by obtaining the entire DNA from any cell of the body of the original sheep. This DNA was then inserted into the egg of a “donor” female sheep (original DNA in the egg was removed) using an ultra fine syringe like needle. This modified egg was then implanted into the uterus of the surrogate mother. If all goes well, couple months later a kid is born that is mostly identical to the original. I say mostly because the mitochondria (which is the powerhouse of the cell) also has its own DNA which is structurally similar to that of many bacteria. This mitochondrial DNA is then transferred from mother to all children; males do not transfer this DNA. Therefore, Dolly the sheep is actually is slightly different than the original because that mitochondrial DNA was that of the the egg cell.
Dolly was so called because the DNA was collected from the mammary gland of the mother sheep. I guess she had big mammaries like Dolly Parton? Anyway that's what the scientist said when asked why they named the clone Dolly.
I really want to live in Edinburgh, have been 6 times and it's the best city in the UK by far. I wish I could afford to live in the Old Town, there's something so magical about it.
The reason many buildings are black is due to the soot in the atmosphere before The Clean Air Act, after which air pollution was greatly reduced. So throughout the country up until the c 1960's factories and houses used coal fires which meant the air was badly polluted and buildings stained with soot. Many places have cleaned up polluted buildings but a lot remain as with the Scott Memorial.
Edinburgh - Scotland's Capital is known as "Auld Reekie" (old smoky) from the days when it was black with the smoke from coal and wood fires. It is also given the more complimentary title of Athens of the North due to the number of fine buildings with Grecian columns.
I love watching this because I live like 30 min from Edinburgh (I live in Livingston) and its so cool to see how fascinated you are about the city because it’s totally normal to me HAHAHAHAH
I'm a new subscriber. I LOVE your channel. I only discovered it a couple of days ago and have thoroughly enjoyed binge watching ever since. You're both so likeable and interesting and I'm glad I 'found' you.
I've never heard of tablet being made and kept in a drawer. I know that (as you say) back in the day, on farms, breakfast was something called brose, which is a form of porridge but thicker. Oatmeal or barley was boiled with water and then poured into a drawer. This was often used in the farm bothy, a sort of dormitory for the unmarried farm workers. They would cut it up for breakfast re-heated or just take it out into the fields to eat as they worked.
Good video! Was so interesting to see your opinions about Edinburgh. I’m Scottish and always go to Edinburgh. Was cool seeing you explore places that I recognise, and sometimes take for granted
Edinburgh is a great city, great for exploring. Good tip for getting around Scotland, public transport is expensive but you can get some good deals on megabus if you book in advance.
Hey guys! As someone who lives in Edinburgh I want to say you both did a great job of explaining and seeing this amazing city. Obviously it was all the tourist sights and that is fine but all of the back streets with their hidden gems are also worth a look and not to mention the pubs and clubs 😀
Many of the locals would agree with you regarding the price of entry into the Castle. Not many Edinburgers have been inside the Castle. I was lucky, as my job was as a Registrar of Births Deaths and Marriages and I have performed weddings inside Edinburgh Castle. The only place I couldn't perform a ceremony was in St Margarets Chapel as only religious celebrants can perform ceremonies in religious buildings. Marriages are still performed in the Chapel with a few guests. Because Edinburgh is basically overrun with tourists, the council wanted to give something back to the locals. So for 2 days (usually a weekend in September) they have a "doors open" day. Whereby entry to all castles, museums, and many many other places of interest is free on those days. It allows us to appreciate the riches of our fair city.
I use the busses a lot and if I am going to somewhere I haven't been before I always go on google street view to look for landmarks first so that I don't need to be worried about missing my stop. Just a little advice for anyone planning to go to the UK. :) Also on most exact change buses you can ask for a change ticket which can be redeemed at the main stops information desk or used on another bus run by the same people.
When you drop your money into the machine on the bus. All the cash is held in view betwen a flat metal plate and a glass screen. If you do not put enough in the driver can let you see the box and you can count the money held behind the glass. Once the ticket(s) are bought the coins are released into the money box below. Also if the fare had changed from £1.60 to £1.70 only the week before, there is usually a weeks amnesty when the fare increases for a week. Also there are two main shops just off Princes Street where you can buy, day passes, week passes, two week passes and for workers monthly or annual passes. You pass also gets you free rides on the trams.
I live in Scotland and I love it. The thing I hate most about it though is all the hills you need to walk to get around a town or city. But when you get away from the central belt in Scotland or the popular towns/cities then that’s when you get to the most beautiful parts of Scotland.
So like, do you know how cloning works? Hahahaa. Don't miss our first video from Scotland here ► ruclips.net/video/uj5_SjXh2UI/видео.html Here's all of our British Isles Videos So Far! ► ruclips.net/p/PLrvJJu2Pt1jhvCgfwKedV1f5-7zzjpCbN
If your wishing to clone Kyde, first scrape off some skin cells. You then transfer the DNA out of that into an egg that has had its DNA nucleus removed, water well. In 9 months you will have another Haggis, Black pudding, jellied Eel eating female. The numbers off which have been shrinking since 1950 ish. ;-)
When you mentioned that the Scott Monument might be made out of a special kind of stone that attracts the dirt you were exactly right. When they built it in the 1840s they wanted it to look old because it was built in the gothic style. So they used a specific stone which was very pale when quarried but quickly blackened on exposure to the air. It’s often been suggested that it should be cleaned, but that would be pointless as it would quickly dirty again.
The main bus company in Edinburgh is Lothian. If you go to the Travel shop at Waverley bridge you can get a day ticket ( £4.00 ). It is a scratch card where you just scratch of the day , month and year. It s valid on both the bus and tram and you just show it to the driver as you board the bus. It saves a lot of money if you want to nip on and off a lot.
Can't believe you'd make a vid about Edinburgh without mentioning, let alone sampling, the pubs. They are the city's glory! Reason to come back, I reckon.
If anyone who's not from Scotland sees this comment just to say I'm from Scotland and Scotland's amazing (this comment is for people who aren't from scotland ONLY!)👍😊😊❤️
Stumbled upon your video by accident and Im very glad I did. You guys are great, im glad you're enjoying visiting our beautiful little country. There's so much to see up north, I hope you have a couple more videos from your adventures in the Scottish Highlands :)
The blue tokens they gave you in Tesco are a thing they do with local charities. They have a box for each charity in the doorway and you put your token in to the one of your choice. Whichever one gets most tokens gets the biggest cut of the donation
I know a girl who went to uni n Edinburgh. I got to see 1000s of photos of the place over 7 years. If I ever go to Edinburgh, a trip up Arthur's Seat will be high priority.
close but not quite ( ed-in-bur-A ). if you have the time you might enjoy these places in central scotland, Stirling castle, the wallace monument, the falkirk wheel also in falkirk the Kelpies and the remains of a roman wall ( all right its just a ditch now but its quite a nice ditch )
hey guys this is why this building(and others) are black: "Over the years, the original pale sandstone and white marble had darkened to sooty black as a result of air pollution. Now Scott's statue is again white and the new stonework is the original light colour. It was decided not to clean all the sandstone, to prevent further damage.". same with the Glasgow buildings, the cleaning was actually damaging.
I much prefer the London transport system. No cash at all, but literally any credit/debit card will work. It's the cheapest method and it's always capped per day and per week so you don't even have to think about payment. Tap your bank card when you get on any bus/train/tram and never overpay or have to deal with change.
Thanks for uploading this, really enjoyed it. The miniature whisky bottle stuck to the tongue tickled me - I'm going to use that trick to carry extra beer bottles across the pub. :D
If you guys ever go back to Scotland you should take some down time on the islands. Colonsay is a comfy little island if you just want a quieter/slower pace for a day or two. Literally one hotel on the island and a brewery with like a population of 100'ish people or so. You can rent a bicycle and just explore the island and see the landscape and explore the ruins and other historical things.
You didn’t meet Scottish people at tourist sites, as the locals don’t go to them! Edinburgh is my second home.💖 Tablet is easy to make, I make it every Christmas. What you tried had too many additives. It’s just butter, condensed milk and sugar, maybe a bit of vanilla. The crumbles left over can be used to sweeten your coffee!
If you're near the front of the bus on the top deck they will usually yell up the steps if you ask them. I have done it all over the UK it is basically just London bus drivers that don't do it because they usually have signs, they do it in Germany as well, I get lost a lot and I have found this method very reliable.
I dunno if you guys are still in Scotland but you should head back to Edinburgh for the fringe festival. Town is amazing for the whole of August basically :P
I hadn't see your channel before and for whatever reason it was suggested on my RUclips homepage. I'm from Edinburgh and like others have said, it's really interesting to see how other people experience Edinburgh for the first time! Also I've never tried a pastie from Piemaker before so I might pick one up this afternoon. Thanks guys!
I lived and worked in Edinburgh for 7 years and have been in Hong Kong for the lat 18. I sympathise with the Noon Day Gun analogy!! My office was in Lothian Road and the gun nailed us everyday! Now as a member of the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, I get done all over again!
For the not being able to give out change situation: don't know if you were also talking about Glasgow because I've never used the buses there, but I assume that the major cities here are like that, but elsewhere isn't. In my town, bus drivers are perfectly able to provide change, same with the rest of the villages, towns, and cities in my whole county (Fife). I've only experienced the no-change situation in Edinburgh. Even the buses from here to Edinburgh don't have the no-change policy; it's only within the city. Don't know if any other cities do it.
Lol, my neighborhood of Waverly, Baltimore, Maryland, USA was named after a book by that Sir Walter Scott monument fellow, along with a BUNCH of other places it would seem, a REALLY popular writer of his day!)
Hmm, I used to live in Farnham in the district of Waverley in Surrey. Named for nearby Waverley Abbey, founded by Cistercian monks back in 12th C, now a ruin after the Dissolution of the Monasteries by Henry VIII. Possibly source for name of your town and Scott's novels. Farnham's a gorgeous, chocolate-box English town, castle and all. Train 55 mins to London, and not far from Jane Austen's cottage. Maybe worth a look if you ever visit England - though you'd have to report how it compares to Baltimore.
Piemaker is fantastic, as well as super cheap. I used to work just down the street so it was a great 'grab lunch very fast' place, though not the healthiest place to regularly eat
Excellent video, I hope you enjoyed your time in Scotland! Try get to Edinburgh in August when the festival is on, it's absolutely crazy, very VERY busy and lots to see!
was there last september, nice weather, i had blue sky, only a little rain coming up from Newcastle ferry. Spend there a few days before driving into the highlands via Falkirk and Stirling....at Ullapool i nearly died by overheating... it was to warm for comfort to ride my motorbike with my normal gear i wear most time during fall and winter season...20°C in late september i didnt expect so far to the north.... Isle of Skye is one of the places i will go back for more exploration, what a sight, took a few hundred pics only there and some GoPro vids.
Arl Tratloandletmealonewithureshitads you got lucky but it's not uncommon for there to be good weather in September . I'd say September is better than august
i go this August to northern Italy, southern France and Monaco...enjoying the sun this year....maybe late September Isle of Skye, both destination with the motorbike again, allways remember, bikes dont pay parking fees...lol
good weather?? we have a drought right now, no real rain since 2 months, normaly it rains here every 3rd day for 2 days....but not this year, thx to global warming outside the USA, because gobal warming is afraid of Trumps wall
If you're local and over 60 you get buses free in Scotland. You get a card, you put it on the card reader and that's it. The glitz and glam if Edinburgh. I don't see it but then, it's my local city. I just go fir hospital visits, shopping or nights out. TBH, I see it as pretty shit lol
The best bit of the pasty is the "noggin" the crimped bit at the end. If it's of interest...pasties come from the South West from coal mines, reason for the crimping is that for the miners lunches in the olden days the wives made pasties with the crimped bit so that they could hold the pasties with their coal/arsenic hands without contaminating the pasty. Back then one half would be savoury, the other sweet. Pasties are numerous in the South West with various flavours. Also.. did you manage to try cream teas whilst you were in the UK?
I love you guys , thank you for coming to Edinburgh , i am from Edinburgh born and bred and from day one i have loved this place and never stopped loving it , its a pity you didnt visit Rosslyn Chapel thats just outside of Edinburgh to name one thing of many , i hope your journey north goes well for you , it may touch your soul ..
The buses are primarily designed for the locals who know whats what , they used to give you change but a re-think changed all that , at the bus stop there is a graphic showing you stops and if you ask the driver to tell you when your stop comes he will do , i think tourists should know these things if they are travelling on public transport , i live here and even i get off the wrong stop sometimes when going into an unfamiliar part of town ,.
its in the room with the rare fluorescent minerals and crystal rocks and such ,huge it is standing in the floor about a foot and a half round , i make a point to touch it when i go to the museum , touching space n all .
You don't eat a whole bar of tablet. You would have a small square after dinner like a piece of fudge rather than a bar. And yes there is a card system for the bus. You can buy them with a certain number of journeys or for a week, a month, a year. Most people have a subscription. Fun fact bus travel is free for retired people. You get a concession card so you can ride the bus services for free and coaches for a reduced fee of £1 (reservation fee).
The Craigleith Sandstone attracts the particulates in the air and the monument is beside the railway station, so what you see is mostly from the old steam engines. A decision was made a while ago not to clean it for that reason.
Followed a good few of your vlogs and like your enjoyment of the ‘old’ things. I also agree that charges are ‘ a rip off’ for the major sites. A tip - there are lots of old churches and buildings that are free. Get out into the Midlands sometime - we have a church near me that was founded in 680 AD ! Free to enter and surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Anytime you are in a bus in the UK just ask the driver to teall you when to get off when you order your ticket. Bus drivers love to be helpful and they love your smiles.
@@kydeanderic They will shout the destination. Not many buses outside London run the fancy destination system. Leeds has it, Manchester is getting it (we already have it on the tram system). Unfortunately London gets more money to spend on transport infrastructure than the rest of the country so we are slower to catch up with newer transport technologies. I'm glad you enjoyed your time here (apart from the last 2 weeks) and hope to see you back here again soon.
Scotland in the winter? Whatever were you thinking? What possessed you? Having thought about it for a moment, your so interested and interesting, perhaps the weather is a little secondary to the experiences you share together and with us.
Bus travel can be confusing. Two or more independent bus companies can cover the same area each with their own prices and ticket types. Trying to work out the cheapest fare can be a nightmare as it will depend on your journey, number of passengers, time of year, time of day, your age and ticket type. Most companies offer discount prices for things like return journeys, all-day travel and group travel. However, with some companies you have to specifically ask for these whereas others automatically calculate it for you and deduct it from your smart ticket (if you have one). Some tickets can be used with more than one bus operator (and on trams and trains) and some cannot. Some tickets can be purchased from the driver and some cannot. Some tickets can be purchased in advance and some cannot. Some operators give you change and some do not. And every time you visit a different city/area you have to research the ticketing policy and ticket types on the internet before you go. Just to confuse things, some local authorities offer cheap all-day tickets for travel on all buses/trains within their area (such as the Derbyshire Wayfarer). Also, you can sometimes buy a really cheap bus ticket for all-day travel at your destination when you buy a train ticket online.
Regarding the going to Edinburgh or Glasgow debate. If you are a tourist definitely choose to spend most of your time in Edinburgh, Glasgow is better for a night out but Edinburgh is better for things to do out with drinking and socializing.

Cut a piece of thickened porridge for your piece...
As known as a daud
I went to Edinburgh last week, and it was really sunny. It really set off the place.
Nice! -E
Kyde to the bagpipe player: "Scottish as fuck!" That made me laugh out loud!
I love Edinburgh,I’ve only been once & it was in the middle of August with glorious sunshine ☀️,it was wonderful. I really want to go back.
That tower looked like all it was missing was a giant emerald dragon perched on top of it 😍😍😍😍 I want to visit Scotland SO BADLY!!!
I never made it to Arthur's Seat but the view from Calton Hill is amazing and it's easier to get there.
Haha, the pastie' has a mohawk', best description ever and entirely accurate.
Yea! We recently uploaded some footage from Northern Scotland, it's stunning up there! -E
Already love this city from your video.
The vibe is great.
Put this on my to do list.
Not sure I'll make it but this is like a visit.🙂👍🏻
I love Edinburgh...but have never done that...great job on Edinbrah....thanks.x
So like, do you know how cloning works? Hahahaa.

If your wishing to clone Kyde, first scrape off some skin cells. You then transfer the DNA out of that into an egg that has had its DNA nucleus removed, water well. In 9 months you will have another Haggis, Black pudding, jellied Eel eating female. The numbers off which have been shrinking since 1950 ish. ;-)
Pretty good explanation! I remember learning about somantic cell nuclear transfer😜
www.animalresearch.info/en/medical-advances/timeline/cloning-dolly-the-sheep/
Any plans to check out where some of Trainspotting's street scenes were shot ?
you can clone a lot of plants just by cutting of a branch and planting it with a bit of root growth hormone, did that with one of my bonsais
It saves a lot of money if you want to nip on and off a lot.
its brilliant inside the castle !!
We will have more than a couple! Maybe even a few! -E
The blue tokens they gave you in Tesco are a thing they do with local charities. They have a box for each charity in the doorway and you put your token in to the one of your choice. Whichever one gets most tokens gets the biggest cut of the donation
My home town, such a beautiful city!
I know a girl who went to uni n Edinburgh. I got to see 1000s of photos of the place over 7 years. If I ever go to Edinburgh, a trip up Arthur's Seat will be high priority.
We wanted to but never had proper weather for it, maybe next time! -E
close but not quite ( ed-in-bur-A ). if you have the time you might enjoy these places in central scotland, Stirling castle, the wallace monument, the falkirk wheel also in falkirk the Kelpies and the remains of a roman wall ( all right its just a ditch now but its quite a nice ditch )
I spent a week in Edinburgh, still not long enough! Love the video!
Amazed at pre-photographic art!!!!!! Fabulous.
Glad you enjoyed my beautiful city.
hey guys this is why this building(and others) are black:
"Over the years, the original pale sandstone and white marble had darkened to sooty black as a result of air pollution.
I'm going to have to agree with you. -E
Kyde's eaten things that make me woozy just looking at them. But bubble gum is her Kryptonite, LOL!
Haha it really is funny! -E
Sounds nice! We do have some videos from the north on the way, but the only island we made it to (besides Great Britain, haha) was Isle of Sky. -E
You didn’t meet Scottish people at tourist sites, as the locals don’t go to them! Edinburgh is my second home.💖 Tablet is easy to make,
I make it every Christmas. What you tried had too many additives. It’s just butter, condensed milk and sugar, maybe a bit of vanilla.
The crumbles left over can be used to sweeten your coffee!
if your on a bus without a stop display you can just ask the driver to tell you when you should get off and they will.
But what if you want to ride on the second floor to watch the amazing city out of the window? -E
If you're near the front of the bus on the top deck they will usually yell up the steps if you ask them. I have done it all over the UK it is basically just London bus drivers that don't do it because they usually have signs, they do it in Germany as well, I get lost a lot and I have found this method very reliable.
42:43 Kyde's expression a nanosecond later: priceless. Eric, you naughty boy!
I dunno if you guys are still in Scotland but you should head back to Edinburgh for the fringe festival. Town is amazing for the whole of August basically :P
Unfortunately we aren't even in Europe anymore! But thanks for the tip, sounds fun! -E
Enjoy it! -E
you can get bus passes from travel shops in Edinburgh and it normally works out cheaper than the individual tickets...
Adorable couple and very entertaining as always. Love it! Please keep your videos coming :)
xParesh They are. Very chill couple. The right sort of people to go to Scotland in Winter.
Such an awesome video!!!!! Thanks so much guys I loved it!!!! 😍😍😍😍
You've said it better than most Americans, thank you for helping our cause.
Edinburgh is amazing i lived there for 2 years!
THATS SO COOL!
Edinburgh has indeed got some nice architecture.
Thanks for the upload
best band i've heard from Scotland is We Were Promised Jetpacks, any album, you can't go wrong
Fun stuff!
Excellent video, I hope you enjoyed your time in Scotland! Try get to Edinburgh in August when the festival is on, it's absolutely crazy, very VERY busy and lots to see!
You're really not seeing Scotland at its best , absolutely stunning in the summer , a bit bleak in the winter though .
The north was still stunning. -E
was there last september, nice weather, i had blue sky, only a little rain coming up from Newcastle ferry.
We have videos coming from a few of the places you just mentioned! -E
Arl Tratloandletmealonewithureshitads weather in Scotland has been great of late . May , June are best summer months
good weather?? we have a drought right now, no real rain since 2 months, normaly it rains here every 3rd day for 2 days....but not this year, thx to global warming outside the USA, because gobal warming is afraid of Trumps wall
The buses are primarily designed for the locals who know whats what , they used to give you change but a re-think changed all that , at the bus stop there is a graphic showing you stops and if you ask the driver to tell you when your stop comes he will do , i think tourists should know these things if they are travelling on public transport , i live here and even i get off the wrong stop sometimes when going into an unfamiliar part of town ,.
last time and i,ll stop annoying you , did you touch the big meteor in the museum ?
Didn't find the meteor, no! Sounds neat!
its in the room with the rare fluorescent minerals and crystal rocks and such ,huge it is standing in the floor about a foot and a half round , i make a point to touch it when i go to the museum , touching space n all .
That card doesn't seem good for people only in town a couple of days. -E
Just came across your videos a couple weeks ago. Binge watching now...along with weescottishlass and joel and lia. love all you guys.
Glad you found us and are enjoying! -E
Subscribed and glad I stumbled upon you guys. Seems like I've got a lot of videos to catch up on :)
Glad you found us! Yea, we have a few videos. -E
I was in Edinburgh last Tuesday and it was really very hot! never thought i'd go to Scotland and get sun burnt. weird.
honestbob45 was even hotter in Glasgow
I have been in Edinburgh the last two weeks and also thought I would never get sunburnt in Scotland
I'll be honest were loving this global warming. Nicest summer I can remember since the 80s touchwood.
Andy M no 2 ways about it
theres meant to be a lot more to come too , its like the south of england , or france .
The one o’clock gun traditionally fired at 1pm every day so the boats at the ports on the River Forth could check their clocks.
Anytime you are in a bus in the UK just ask the driver to teall you when to get off when you order your ticket. Bus drivers love to be helpful and they love your smiles.
The issue being that as visitors we wanted to sit up top to watch the scenery as well. A sign or announcement would be ideal. -E
Fun fact. People do live in the castle, families of those stationed at the castle
glad you liked my city guys
Scotland in the winter? Whatever were you thinking? What possessed you? Having thought about it for a moment, your so interested and interesting, perhaps the weather is a little secondary to the experiences you share together and with us.
We like to see real things, and winter was real. So would be summer of course, but it doesn't discount the value of seeing winter too. -E
Haha, yea, it could use some simplification. -E
Guys you are Hilarious!!!
Thanks for Brightening my days Fantastic!
Glad you enjoyed!
The movie "Mary Stuart queen of the Scots " makes me to travel to Scotland because l would like to visit the region and Edinburgh, Glasgow too
Regarding the going to Edinburgh or Glasgow debate. If you are a tourist definitely choose to spend most of your time in Edinburgh, Glasgow is better for a night out but Edinburgh is better for things to do out with drinking and socializing.
Great videos guys, I loved it!
