Mine is 2016 S1 it has been 5 years now … my great little car since the d1, pretty light weight fun blast luckily it’s reliable too PS : just take it the silica bag out , prefer to change antifreeze regularly 👍
I’ve got one as My Daily & I Love it. Can’t praise it enough. Loads ask me about it when I’m fuelling it. You nailed it when you mentioned about just having enough power. It’s got enough to make you smile but never really get you into trouble. Perfect Daily. Mine is a Competition Model in Sepang Blue.
Currently own an SLK230 R170 but I can’t wait to get one of those one day when the Benz gives out on me, need a car with a bit more space anyways and I loved this car ever since I saw it

I’ve been on a couple of test drives and love it. There will be one in my drive soon. I wondered if you can share the information about the wheels. I know it was mentioned on one of your videos but I am having trouble finding it again. I like you would prefer not to use spacers and I would like to know the specs for the wheels and where you purchased them. Thank you.

When I got my S1 APR stage 1 tuned it felt like that's what the car should have been stock. The stock turbo elbows are crap and need and are a cheap upgrade. Easily the most fun car I've ever driven and the sedate looks don't draw attention from plod.
Thanks the s1’s are pretty solid only thing to look out for is the heaters make sure they blow hot when on hot settings’s they have a back silica in the coolant tank that breaks over time that blocks the heater matrix if you buy one remove it when you can and the DRL’s are common for going 👍🏻
Hello mate I know you've upgraded but did you run low profiles on your s1? And do you have to have low pros? The road noise is seriously driving me mad I can't even focus on driving wen I ear it
Not heard anything about the gearbox but the clutch struggles with the stage one if you put your foot down. If possible upgrading the clutch is the best idea

Yep you hit it the stock elbows ain’t up to much on any of the cars with the ea888 engine, stage 1 quick and reliable👌🏻
Is there any turbo-inlet (elbow) at the aftermarket, that dont hit the brake booster?

I thought the gearbox on these was terrible. Heard they like to explode when power put through it.
If you put over 650 nm through them then yep they won’t last long (like the golf r) only thing to watch is the drive shafts with big power 😅
The Gearbox is solid, the clutch does not resist any tuning. And the rear left drive shaft dont like extreme lowering.
