It was my very first Jurassic Park theater experience. I had just turned 7 years old when it arrived at my local town theater. I will never forget it. So shoot me for loving this movie…. But obviously the first will always be the best and legendary.

Hell yeah, especially after the world trilogy
This is the best Jurassic film, in terms of special effects. The fact that the CGI became so good that they were confident enough to have both practical and CGI effects share a shot. Extremely underrated work.
And this movie is also the best in terms of dinosaurs. Different new Dinosaurs, their coloring/patterns. I just love it.
@@robinator789 what about dominion? In that movie we got the best CGI/animatronics dinosaurs in the franchise and not just for the incredible special effects but also for the super realistic behavior of them
@@lore3752 I'm talking about the colour and species variation in the dinosaurs, I know all the Jurassic movies have amazing CGI.

It was average but the actors(Sam Neil and Trevor Morgan) were awesome

It is childish and goofy. The dreamsequence with the raptor is beyond ridiculous. The parents are incredibly annoying and unsympathetic (they diss the dead dude who saved their kid like 2 or 3 times). If they even had cut it a bit different it would have been an improvement. They also should never have had Charlie dancing to Barney on tv between the scenes of the river attack. That's easily cut out though... I made 13 cuts and added regular openingcredits and it is a better watch. The effects and setpieces are great but the story and characters are weak. I also don't get why they had to resort to so many fade in/outs... it makes it look a bit cheap.
6:30 a chunk of this shot was cut from the final version... wow so cool to see it!
I can see a reason why it was cut. It just drags out a bit and looks like the rex gave it a chance for a bite without protest. Just throwing a fast CG model over the more slower animatronic feels awkward.
@@TyrannoWright I disagree, the little piece they actually used is the awkward part.
@@XanArt21 It fits the shot prior in the final film, but why make the rex just stand there and take it? It feels a bit symbolic in a hostile way towards animatronics. JW even had concept for a scene that would of involved the indo-rex decimating a rex animatronic.
@@TyrannoWright The rex can't take a breather? Now it just looks extremely weird... both look almost handpuppet like in the final cut.
They were actually originally going to have the fight be longer with more practical effects, but the spino robot was stronger than they thought and they accidentally tore the Rex’s head off.
This movie got panned when it came out, but people love it.

Please someone edit together the dialogue of Kathleen Kennedy saying 'Utilize all the tools in special effects, it's not like all the films are only made with special effects' then hard cut to Jurassic World and how it only uses special effects i.e CGI and no pratical effects 🤣🤣
Funny how as the technology improved the quality of the movies decreased. Loved JP 1-3 but the new fully cgi films are whack

@@TimKuat honestly I could never get into the lost world, maybe it’s because most of the original cast wasn’t in it but I just wasn’t as interested in it

Idk I guess for me The Lost World seems more important than the rest of the movies excluding the first because it was the last story Michael Crichton (the guy that wrote the Jurassic Park and TLW novel which everything is based off of) wrote and worked on. That and it was the last one Steven Spielberg worked on as well and he's just as important. I respect your opinion though it's not for everyone.

It's unfortunate that so much work led to such a terrible film in regard to the screenplay and the character development.
Jurassic Park 3 has 12(!!!!!) fade transitions between scenes... it is just way too much it makes it look so cheap. Jurassic Park had 1... and The Lost World had 0.
