Hey Francis, glad you found us here 🙂 Personally I like cairns, I bought a small block of units there a few years back. it has a lot going for it, but it really comes back to your goals, and strategy if it's a good fit or not.

Charters towers: 10 years average growthas been nothing at all. Last 3 years close to 50%. DOM is high (unfavourable) sitting close to 80. Vacancy rate fluctuated a lot and is trending upwards. Hold period has been fluctuating a lot in last 10 years and has taken a nosedive (that begs a question .. why are people selling off) Poor socio-economic and 40+% renters. Cashflow(yield) is good but...I wouldn't buy here
