right! maybe a select few could be GIANT cards you could purchase instead of it being a print / poster... kinda like the higher or lower game
One other idea, you are putting a lot of yourself into this project. The joker, when it is in play for games, is often considered to be the best of the best. Maybe you should make yourself the joker. I don't think you've ever done a self portrait on your channel, and maybe now is the time.
He does caricatures of himself sometimes. Even his children's book. But I do agree that's a smart idea

As a magician, I'd love to have some gimmick on one of the jokers.. like maybe he's holding a playing card with on of the other cards on it.. but don't make it obvious. Then you can force that card on the players choice and in the end reveal that the joker knew what his card was. Maybe that's a fun idea you like.. anyways, amazing job so far. keep it up :))

10 card suggestions - I find that the choice of each logo used makes it hard to immediately identify the suit of each card. The triangular tenhun logo would make more sense for the 10 of diamonds (sharp angles) and the circular logo for the 10 of clubs (given the three circles that make up the club shape). Alternatively I think you should modify your logo to fit within each suits shape. Also just my opinion, but as cool as it is, I just don’t think the current 10 of clubs makes sense with its style being so different from the rest of the deck.
I agree that the logos could be selected to match the suits a bit better, but I was feeling that 10 of spades, even if the design is a bit different from the rest of the card art. Spades generally have a unique design anyway, like with the Ace of Spades, so it works for me.

i agree with this - i'd like to see each set (heart, spade, etc.) having a specific theme that differentiates them from the rest. and i think the logos should represent them better
As a big fan of mythology and stories I really appreciate the details and research in the diamonds. The Jack as Jack and the beanstalk is amazing, I love how the Queen is based off Athena and has the owls and the aegis (the shield with Medusa’s head), I love how the king is based off Odin and has the ravens. I like how the Raven in the bottom looks like it’s eating the diamond! The diamonds are my favourite so far, and it’s clear you’ve done a lot of research to add the littlest details! As soon as I saw the smallest bits of each of the cards, I could tell who they were based off! Good job!

Most decks of playing cards have an extra card that is used for various purposes. How about doing a “Last Supper” type thing with all of the face characters? It will be a small art print on a playing card... very, very unique.

For the background color, the hearts and diamonds should be orange but one orange with a white stripe and the other white with the orange stripe. Just to tell em apart easier at first glance. Same with the other suits just black.

@@jonathancody4003 or his wife maybe? One of them could be holding the baby. I also like the idea of the Jokers being skinny/lanky. So, it would be a drawing of ten hundred in his style with 'Tim Burton character' proportions.
Such a great idea and very cool designs, I love it! But I think removing the diagonal stripe will make your designs stand out more and make the cards look more complete, it's just a little too distracting in my opinion. I also think that the orange background really isn't complementing the illustrations cause it isn't making them stand out enough at all. I think you should try navy blue and orangish brown backgrounds which will work together better than the orange and black in my opinion.

The only problem with the Diamond suit is that they are in a whole other level. The Details and everything are the best by far!
I think keeping the face cards the most unique is important, especially with how much hard work you put into them. I think you're talented enough to make the small cards simple but still amazing.
Making the pips and indices the same size has made my soul happy.
It brings me some comfort to see a big artist admitting their creative struggles, I often question my decisions when working on my art so it’s nice to know I’m not alone
I like the idea of having your Watcher character as the diamond pip. It fits well with the storytelling theme you chose to represent riches. The Watcher has been watching the story you tell through your art for many, many years. Which means that in a sense, he is the keeper of your stories as he is the one who has seen them all.
For the number cards, keep the same background as the court cards, but place the pips in the white diagonal instead of in their traditional positions. It’ll add that design uniqueness to your number cards but at the same time make them cohesive with your court cards and the entire deck!

I have to admit, I agree. I actually think that only the 10 of hearts fits, but I am not in love with it.
I think he added the spades as it is his artwork he always wears so very recognisable has ten hun.
Really love these cards though so I am fine with a few strange choices.

Also I have seen a lot of folks stressin about these selling out.
They will be launched as a Kickstarter campaign.
The campaign will be open for, i think, like, a month (not totally sure how long kickstarters go for) and anyone who funds the campaign during that time will be guaranteed to get their hands on as many decks and extra goodies (push goals) as they want.
Once the campaign is fully funded I will place the order for all the decks and once everything is manufactured and printed I will ship them out to everyone who funded the kickstarter.
The kickstarter will probably be launched once the deck is completely designed, or really close to being complete.
Becoming more and more in love with the deck as the episodes come out, can't wait to see what's next, looking forward to hopefully be able to get in on the Kickstarter when it's open (Love from the UK)

I love the 10's, the orange background just blinds with your art.
The kick starter is an outstanding idea! This way people are guaranteed a deck of cards. I think push goals might be an excellent place for prints of face cards! Then you can print extras for continued revenue as time goes on. Of course they won’t be the first print but you can do like that as a series 2 or as you wish. I am glad that you have taken on this enormous project! Let’s get ‘er done!
Personally I liked the different sized pips. I’m loving the orange for the red suits. Makes me kind of want the bluish teal for the black suits now though. Ya know?

For the number cards I would just add small characters to each one, hiding behind numbers, sitting on numbers, climbing the numbers. They re all trademarks of your art and won't detract from your awesome picture cards. Phenomenal art.
Heart cards: inner section of the background red
Diamonds: outer sections of the background red
Same for the 2 black colours. Would also help to seperate the heart and diamond cards while still having the Same colour :)
Black isn't a color, dumbass.

My guesses
King- Odin (eye patch, ravens)
Queen- Athena ( hydra, shield, spear, owl)
Jack- Jack from Jack and the bean stalk(riches, harp, bean stalk)

So my guess is that the Jack is Rumpelstiltskin and the Queen is Athena then the king would be Odin. I like the idea of the "red suites" having the red-orange background. Looks sharp. 🧡🧡🧡
I agree on two of your guesses but I think the jack is Jack and the beanstalk
magic beans and magic goose I think the jack might be general nursery rhymes I think the looser interpretation is the only one that fits.
The Jack is definitely Jack and the beanstalk! He’s got a magic harp and goose that lays a golden egg (the two things he steals from the giant) and then of course the magic beans and a beanstalk growing up the side.

How about the jokers is in animal form that have 2 opposite background? Like black joker is dog and red joker is cat... Or dragon and unicorn? Or shark and orca, etc. All with yoir style of course...
Mr. Hundred! Those ten cards are awesome, but I'd recommend trying to invert the colors for uniformity across the deck. It would drive me crazy seeing a white on black club next to a black on white club, y'know? Other than that, these are looking outstanding! 🔥
I am loving this series! It's a nice surprise on my feed every week. On thing: maybe consider flipping the queen of clubs to face right like the rest of the face? Looking at all of them together I noticed that all the hearts are facing right, and all the diamonds are facing left, and the jack of clubs is facing right. That's very nit-picky but food for thought! Can't wait for the rest!!
For the number cards I think the best option is just some custom pip placement. So instead of having the 3 card a vertical line have the pips in a triangle shape for example
The deck is looking so sick. I'm definitely buying a few decks when it comes out. Love the orange background and I think it would be cool if the black background was switched to the blue/green color. So that way you've owned the deck by changing the two colors of the suits and making it your own.

The 10 cards is mad genius! Take my money already. Lovin’ that watcher ace. Stick with the black background (or navy). Love that you’re droppin’ hints and stories into the cards. Seriously, man, these are dope! Keep up the good work.
I think the background colours blend too much into the characters, especially with the orange/red as it already features heavily within the character. It also makes it hard to read the pip because the pips are white as opposed to a stand out colour. I don’t think you should go back to black for all suits though. I think the background colour needs to either be scrapped altogether or the tone changed.
I suggested he use colors from his room for contrasting colors instead of black which is not in his color pallet seems to harsh and doesnt fit. I totally agree with you about the orange and red it need to contrast so his characters stand out and not mess with the background. all four suites should have their own color background one color for each background.
Suggestion on the number cards: Turn those symbols into small minions (knights, dwarves, etc.)

Love this idea as well !! Alternatively, I was thinking use the house seal for the 10 cards but do them in a way that incorporates ten hundreds logo or signature.

You should have a two-way (reversed-symmetry) design on the front, in my opinion. I can imagine it would be annoying to have some of the cards upright and others upside-down when holding them side by side. It also makes the overall composition better i think.
Yes I agree. Symmetrical illustrations are a key feature of playing cards. I most likely wouldn’t buy playing cards with asymmetric illustrations on the front.
I like the special 10's but i think it doesnt really fit in

Did you consider any “magic” trick cards? Eg. where one of the face cards does a different pose or something. Maybe ask Chris Ramsey if he has any ideas for at nice trick he would make with that.
Ooooo I'm in love with the diamond's and I absolutely love the watcher character as the diamond pip! I like the red/orange background to distinguish, definitely can see the playability of them more and more. Those diamond cards are AWESOME! Those are my personal favorites so far. Love the red bgs (not the diagonal. The use of the watcher is genius and the 10 cards are great. I don't have any good ideas for the number cards, but I agree they should have something special and a little different than just standard number cards. Great work.

Why isnt the tenHun for the 10of hearts not shaped like a heart.
It wouldnt look good.. would need to make the logo too small to fix the heart onto the card and i don't think it would be worth it.
Feel like the characters need a white outline. It would just make them pop and separate them from the background

How about the „10 cards“ have open space (kind of like a canvas) where people can draw their own special card and add their own story to the whole concept once they own a deck. It makes the deck unique and you won’t outshine the other cards :)
Dimonds are more unique and different now the previous two were too similar in my opinion

I absolutely LOVE the 10 cards. BIG fan of the orange background like you have on the hearts and diamonds! I prefer the backgrounds the way you have them, not the orange stripe in the middle. I love the way these cards are going. That king of aces is legit! I prefer the stripe colored. I just like that the pips will be consistent across all the cards when you are holding them in hand. I will use these when I get them in my sticky little fingers!

I've always thought of the Spades and hearts as opposites of the same thing. I think it would be super cool if you made one of your spade royalty a "dark: version of its heart counterpart.
I also wanted to say that your deck has reinspired me into making my own tarot deck. I don't know if I'll actually ever complete it, but I have a direction now and one is already almost done, and I'm pretty excited about the whole thing ^-^. I had an idea for an art series, and when I saw this video series it hit me that the idea I have is so perfect for it. So thank you so much for that ^-^

The diomands are the best yet! Love them!!! I think if you want the characters colours to remain the same then you should probably do different background colours. I also think maybe that orange background is a little too close of colour to the characters clothes, maybe a more red-ish colour would work? God that queen of diomands is spicy, love it! its my favourite

And a little suggestion. There are actually 4 different colors on some decks. I often see people use those colors when they stream poker and other card games.
Hearts=red, Spades=black, Clubs=green and Diamonds=blue.
I think that would be an awesome feature, specially for the more hardcore OG poker players.
And the idea about the diamonds being that little wisdom creature of yours were just fricking genius. Love it!
But it kinda looks like the shape of a heart at a distance, therefore i think the 4 colored deck would be a good thing for you!

The artistic aspect of this deck is for sure the most appealing part! I think it would be epic to do something unique with the number cards, even if its something unique with just the pips. Like if one of your characters/variations of your characters (like the watcher you have for the diamond pip) had different expressions or something for the pips on the different numbers. And those were displayed on the number cards as just the diamond/heart/etc pattern of a normal deck, just a little spicier 😁. Having something unique about every card, not just the face cards, sounds so exciting, even if they're not as flashy as the face card!

I wasn't sure how this project would go and I knew I wouldn't vibe too much with the project since merch has never resonated with me. Man.. I was wrong. I'm here for this! These have, hands down, been my all-time favorite videos from you yet. Definitely going to purchasing these!

Maybe the Jack of diamonds was so hard for you because you view yourself the most as him. The jack card has always seemed the most relatable card (not being a king or queen) and you being very relatable and open, and such a good story teller - you see yourself in him. Absolutley love these designs!!

i LOVE that you are starting to incorporate thematic meaning into those suits! i am so excited to see how it turns out. i always find it nice when the pips also have a little something extra to them, so maybe if on every pip card one of the little pips is a little wonky like its fallen out of position, or a little character on them. i think you really could do some interesting things on them without outshining the face cards seeing as you aren't tied to having them be mirrored up and down like most sets are
