Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Ken gets ripped off for the shots by a sleazy lawyer, and years later, his car gets blown up by a high school chemistry teacher
Karma isn’t finished with him yet.
ken loses
He must have recovered after getting a nice car after that happens, also shows he hasn't changed
But everyone pays for his car through insurance. Although the silver lining is with the value of his car, he probably has to pay a higher than average deductible.
@@StarDiSaFopposed to everyone else in the series he got off pretty light
You missed the biggest Easter egg. There's a character called Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad who appears in Better Call Saul. 🤯. Vravo Bince
More like Geter Pould 🤷🏾♂️
Still a boring meme
@@balabanasiretiWe do not care
@@balabanasireti or maybe you're just boring
One of the biggest easter eggs to me was that Lalo Salamanca is actually part of the same Salamanca family in Breaking Bad
"Blink and you'll miss it moment shows Gus Fring never forgot his friend"
idk, I kinda feel like there are other hints to that throughout the show
Dedicado a Max is literally the title of the episode.
@@roomsforrockets5741His “Friend”.
Riiiight his “friend”
max was also not just his friend 😅
'friend' mf they were gay lovers
I can’t believe I never realized the Vamanos Pests guy was the one who stole the porcelain doll
Chuck sure loves that "what a joke" saying
I have a habit of saying that now because of him.
Well, that and "He DEFECATED through a SUNROOF," but that second line, I don't really have a very good reason for doing that besides lack of self control. 👌
HE IS NOT CRAZY!!! Chuck is not crazy. He knows Jimmy swapped those numbers. He knew it was 1216, one after Magna Carta. As if he could ever make such a mistake… never, NEVER! He just couldn’t prove it. Jimmy covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the copy shop to lie for him… You think that is something, you think that is bad? That, that chicanery? Jimmy’s done worse. He defecated though a sunroof. And Chuck saved him. And he took him into his own firm. What was he thinking? Jimmy’ll never change. He’ll NEVER change. Ever since he was 9, always the same. Couldn’t keep his hands out of the cash drawer. “But not our Jimmy!” “Couldn’t be precious Jimmy!”. Stealing them blind. And HE gets to be a lawyer? What a sick joke! Chuck should’ve stopped him when he had the chance.
@@Dhruv-yu2josounds like both you and Chuck are crazy. Yall put down 1261, it’s okay. It could happen to anybody, simple mistake.
@@JimTheCuratorThat's cringe
@@JimTheCurator
What a joke.
okay, spotting jesse's tag is pretty impressive
I like that Ira had no grey in his beard for the prequel. Small touches are appreciated.
It went over my head completely. I had no idea that was Ira
@@victortellez6138me either. I never caught that until now.
Who is Ira?
@@Ramzi1944 steals the alpine shaped boy for Jimmy. Then in breaking bad he runs vamanos pests
A missed one here could be -- "put a dollar in my pocket" line by Kim, which then Jimmy/Saul uses on Walt & Jesse in the first episode appearance in BB.
blink and you miss it? the title of the episode was dedicado a max lol
Well, this is why this universe is soo perfect. There many references, hints and premonitions about future events that we don't even see until we see it for a second time
Damn even the official channel is pulling a "they were very close friends" like a historian
Why? Has something happened where they are retconning Gus and Max's relationship?
@@thementalitydisturbedcolli7430the writer for this vieeo called them friends instead of partners
It don’t think it was ever explicitly stated, but it’s heavy implied that Max was Gus’s lover
@@laviuwu I mean, it's old knowledge they were more then even friends, because of Gus's hatred towards the cartel being that much, the Fun and Games scene (BCS S6 E9) where he flirts with the sommelier, and I think the writers said that he was in fact romantically involved with Max
@@Longinus_Ulyanovsky Wow, I noticed the generalissimo line, that was new, but he just calls him sudaca, a depsective term towards south americans, I don't think his sexuality has any place at all
The way Better Call Saul built upon Breaking Bad is legit beautiful
You missed the Sliced or non sliced pizza. From the same scene of the figuirne robbery. S04E03
The guy that was sleeping in his office orders a pizza and says, "Yes, sliced please" so he's ordering from the same place Badger bought the Not sliced pizzas.
Venezias Pizza - That's the gimmick, they don't slice the pizza and pass the savings on you
@@lennartbehrendt788 What savings?
@@TheAtkey it's democratic
I love the subtle reference that Jimmy in BCS is actually the same person as Saul in BB! Many missed this callback since his name is different.
THIS is truly the moment jimmy became heisenberg
@@notliterallyme🥱
😮
Wow I would’ve never caught it. Vravo Bince 😍
i think we need some work on the difference between "reference" and PLOT POINT
There was that moment in Better Call Saul when Mike told Gus that fear is not a good motivator, and then in Breaking Bad season 3, Gus told Mike that fear is not a good motivator.
when saul gets kidnapped from walt and jesse, he confuses them with lalo and asks them if they are lalo's guys.
"After this shocking execution, this blink and you'll miss it moment shows Gus Fring never forgot his 'friend'" and historians call these two friends.
There is one more, when Jimmy gave Irene the shoes in the shopping center, and one of the stores name was Krazy8
And El Camino restaurant?
9:02 what do you mean no stranger to Gus? Of course not, Gale designed the entire lab.
Whats about Spouche (or what he was called, man died by ATM in BrBa) he was one of the clients of Saul Goodman in BCS (when he get office in season 6). Or guys from "stay out my territory" scene from BrBa eating hotdogs in BCS?
"gus remembers his friend" bullshit, they were roommates. /s.
Oh my God they were roommates
@@heisen-boneslolllllll
I caught on to all of them except the Jessie Pinkman Graffiti, cool recap though.
This is far from an exhaustive list! It's not every reference at all, it's the really obvious ones 😅
I wouldn't say the jpi graffiti is obvious at all
I never realized the Ira thing. Completely flew over my head
@@frankfurger1754Irish Republican Army, IRA?
I promise nobody "missed" the fact that Ken is in both BB and BCS...
Go land crabs 🦀🦀🦀
Good video. I did miss 4 of the 11 you provided.
Can't believe I didn't recognized the pest guy myself.
YOU MISSED THE LIL PIGGIE TOY THAT MIKE GAVE TO HER GRAND DAUGHTER, IN BB HE USED IT TO FOOL THE HITMAN THAT WAITED HIM IN HIS HOUSE
I love videos like this, especially when its from the horse's mouth. Thats how you know it's intentional.
There are a couple that I definitely missed on here. Do a part 2!
Max was Gus's lover, not his friend
It never explicitly says that, though. It's just an assumption.
Why do you think that? There’s no evidence of that at all. All we know is that Gus cried over his death.
Yup!!
That's what I always thought too.
The producers really do like their fans to bring KEN back in Better Call Saul bet they had to pay him 50k at least.
This is the definition of attention to detail!
Easter eggs very good 👍🏻🤗
Bravo vince
Bravo Gould
I never really thought about it, but I think they probably made one zafiro anejo bottle prop and reused it for all three scenes it appears in. If they dropped the fancy hand-blown glass cork, it would have set production back quite a bit.
Genial Soy el Me Gusta número 200 de este Genial Video😅,Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
iconic show
You missed one. Final episode of BCS. Saul is still wearing the Wayfarer 515 crash ribbon on his suit from Breaking Bad.
There probably are more, because i can recall having seen Walters Car in one of the Scenes with Mike working in the Parking Booth.
camera panning down and getting the text on focus isn't exactly blink and miss but I liked the video overall.
Incredible
There were Hummel figurines in both BB and BCS.
Breaking Bad é a melhor serie que existe.
So I wonder if Ira decided to open up a legit pesticide business and then Saul have him the idea of robbing the houses or if Saul came up with the idea of the business for Ira 🤔
Missed my favorite Easter Egg…Lalo’s belt buckle is the same one we see Lalo wearing as a child in the family photo framed in Hector’s room at Casa Tranquella.
I can't say for sure, but it seemed to me that a guy appeared in the 6x4 who was pinned down by an ATM in Breaking Bad.
Walt withdrawing his money from Mesa Credit Union in episode 1, probably a branch of the bigger Mesa Verde bank
Amazing. Just Amazing 😏👏
You missed quite a few of them though.
Lazertag Danny aka Pryze guys, u forgot him
You forgot to mention how there’s a character called Walter White in Better Call Saul who also appears in Breaking Bad. It’s really subtle but he is there.
How did u not include the pizza easter egg
Hah - I was gonna say that one too - "yeah, unsliced"
I missed the Heisenberg outfit at the courthouse and the JPi graffiti.
"Blink and you'll miss it, but the Star Wars franchise reveals that Darth Vader is actually Luke Skywalker's father"
The Closelest thing we got on "Zafiro Añejo" is "Hardy Perfection Fire Cognac" The bottle is Identical and Taste Too.
Only 2 I didn't know were Ira and Jesse's graffiti. The Ken one was extremely talked about when the BCS episode happened. The Max fountain is hardly "blink and you'll miss it", it's the main focus of the shot lmao.
I was reasonably unhappy I didn’t catch these references
There's an episode of BB in which Marie Schrader steals a porcelain doll
dang i never put together that was the same guy even after 2 rewatches of both lol
You included a clip where you missed that skinny police officer getting in the court. Same who got Badger
Technically speaking since better call saul is a prequel it would better better call saul references you mist in breaking bad
It’s nice that Ken looks younger years later when he runs in to Walter White. Wish i could pull that off.
Glad Gus never forgot his “friend”
“And they were roommates”
2:24 "Gus Fring never forgot his friend" LOL LOL LOL you mean boyfriend, partner, lover?
Please give us another series!
Better not call Mike
@@Slippinjimmymcgillbetter sike mike
I didn't notice any of these when I first saw breaking bad. Years later when I saw BCS I noticed some, but others I didn't notice until I saw this video. What are the odds?
When we see Walt going to the bank in Breaking Bad, we see a sign outside that shows his bank is Mesa Verde.
Jimmy learned to play golf because Kim mentioned it
There's an easter egg to add to the list: at 8:38 you'll see Skyler working at her part-time job lolol
You missed the it was Nacho reference pretty important
No Lalo?
First BB episode, how does no one relay to the DEA the day of the fire when they found Crazy 8's car that on the way to the fire, the trucks passed an RV in the ditch with a man standing in his underwear in the road. I mean if the FD was first on the scene to the fire, saw a car and called the PD which then called the DEA, and the DEA never asked the FD "hey, did you see anything out of the ordinary when you got to the fire?" or anything like that. ALSO who called the fire in? I mean by the time walt gassed the bad guys, picked up jessie, got the RV started and drove down the road and the FD was already on their way.......
I guess Vince Gilligan really hates that Ken guy
ALSO!!! if Crazy 8 was an informant for the DEA, why did he never tell them about Jessie? He could have called in before he went to the cook site. He could have told them A LONG TIME AGO who captain cook was. And with that.....when walt went missing, how did hank never put two and two together when he tracked down Jessie'c car with the plates....The Captn Huh?????
Cool guys don't look at explosions!
The horrible thing about Max is that his death is literally Gus' ticket in to the cartel. They give him what he wanted, and he flourishes, but Max is gone. Gus would give it all back for one more day with Max.
This is by no means "every reference". Are you serious?
1:16 I want to get that picture. How?
Screenshot and image search on Google?
Saul makes krazy 8 a confidential informant in BCS and then in BB krazy 8 rats on Jesse and Emilio leading Walt to partner with Jesse.
I miss these shows. But it’s better if they don’t do anymore.
One cool Easter egg is Saul Goodman from Breaking Bad was in Better Call Saul
Saulll Good Man ,
fine i'll stop everything and rewatch 🙄
ok who would have noticed the JPI tag
2:31 his friend? u mean his lover
And they were roomates
I actually feel for fring in a way, he lost his best friend in front of his eyes. 👀 and it cut him off emotionally. I love Saul and was kinda sad they killed off nacho! ❤
Go land crabs!
peak
Ken deserved better! 😂
I forget where I first heard this but I think it is very well said.
Breaking Bad was a better story.
However, Better Call Saul was better story telling.
Who’s Lalo?
Lol all the super obvious references to breaking bad
The scenes with Ira and Lalo playing cards with Nacho and Domingo in better call Saul aren’t even in the show
Yeah they are
Hi
❤
2:25 "this blink and youll miss it moment shows Gus Fring never forgot his "FRIEND"...Let´s give this another try, maybe next time. Beside your nonesense comment, he was Gus Frings lover. The guys are gay. They killed Gus love and he takes revenge, thats it. No more, no less for Gus Fring.
Let be honest. Half of these were nothing anyone missed. They were pretty on the nose.
Lmao "gus fring never forgot his friend" Dude.. they were lovers, get a clue
And by "you" you mean nobody?
