Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.
Better Call Saul is the prequel to the award-winning series Breaking Bad, set six years before Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) became Walter White's lawyer. When we meet him, the man who will become Saul Goodman is known as Jimmy McGill, a small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet. Working alongside, and often against, Jimmy is "fixer" Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks), a beloved character introduced in Breaking Bad. The series will track Jimmy's transformation into Saul Goodman, the man who puts "criminal" in "criminal lawyer."

Saul the entire time: 😁
Mike the entire time: 😒
Him, Nacho and Bolsa are probably some of the most serious, keep a straight face characters.

Why is Saul smiling? He spends most of this compilation furious

I really love when these two are together. Part of me really wishes they could’ve been friends but they sadly never were
Hello Saul
I think Howard getting killed is what buried any chance of them being friends
وايلي واش ايمن رشيد اللي يمكن كنعرف؟؟
I don't think they ever really saw eye eye in bcs or brba
Mike loved him like a stepbrother
And ultimately, Mike not trusting Saul with his money was the beginning of his downfall. :(
not like Mike didn't trust him,.he wanted a safer way because the police were already onto Saul and he knew sooner or later he'll either have to fly away or will get caught that's why he went with a nobody.
He was too proud to admit he needed someone to have his back like that immediately. Like when he went to that other lawyer believing he planned it out right. Probably what got him killed in the end if he hadn’t had that encounter with Walter.
Every time someone doubts Saul it goes bad for them.
@Guar_dian facts mike pride got him killed just like walter
Yoru ❤

I watched bcs after the memes and seeing this scene made me chuckle.
The conversation at 8:00 is my favorite. It helped me cope with a recent break-up I went through and it helped me realize I hadn’t thought about my ex in a while and I realized I was over it. That’s the exact moment I became Heisenberg

It's a shame Jimmy doesn't show him more appreciation here. I genuinely think it's because around 10:20 the stuff Mike is telling him makes him realize Chuck was right about Jimmy's inclinations and the line of business it lead him toward..
@@DoomKid Your gf or wife is cheating on you
Better Call Saul really showed why they have this sort of rivalry in BB. They never became friends, more like professional acquaintances at best
And because Mike doesn't actually like Saul. He had sympathy for Jimmy, but ever since he completely hid behind his falsehood, there is no respect left.
Jimmy and Mike were friends, Saul and Mike were not
I think a lot of it was because of what they did to Howard. Mike couldn't respect that.

This is why I love the breaking bad universe Mike and Jimmy had all of the attributes to be great friends but they never were because in reality that’s not always the case
Same with Walt and Jesse or even Walt and Gale
Like in those buddy cop movies where initially the two protagonists didn't like each other but became friends at the end of the movies, at most Mike and Saul are associates.
see that easter egg in the form of a white cadillac
Man, when Mike said dont get involved with Walt, it seemed to really irritate him when he did. Instead of irradiated, he got violent. Love both series
Irradiated? That word doesn’t make sense in that context.

At 11:40 there's two guys in the background skateboarding. Idk if it was done intentionally, but they remind me of the two skateboarders that got they're legs broken in season 1.

They're like Spock and McCoy in the evil mirror universe
I really like that although mike hated saul, he at least respected his care for his wife
Saul had a bigger peter but mike could eff better
I don’t remember that episode
Bagman is the best episode this duo have
I just realized at 8:45 - Mike's monologue is foreshadowing Saul's quote when Howard gets killed and Mike had to clean it up
How so?
Saul says the same thing to Kim after Howard dies
no, saul’s quote after howard’s death is a callback to when mike said it to him 😭 saul copied mike bar for bar
Such great chemistry between these two actors. Overall, I think Better Call Saul is a better series. In Breaking Bad, Marie, Skyler and Hank always irritated me. Walter White never truly appealed to me and Jessie was the only character with ‘heart’. Awesome compilation and editing job
Mike knows he’s entrenched in the game but doesn’t let it bother him or else he’d be a nervous wreck.
😩
Role of his life. Odenkirk was born for that
He did say in an interview that the role was totally in his wheelhouse.
they worked great together
Mike says probably one of the wisest things you could possibly say in that situation
Jimmy's response is "I cant believe I only have you to talk to"
Honestly I feel like this was somewhat of a turning point with me on Jimmy

Pretty nice detail how at the beginning you think he owns the white car we see in Breaking Bad, but then the camera moves to the left, revealing his yellow car. Again a great example of foreshadowing and future prediction, the narrative in these two shows is amazing.
despite him always keeping the same face on, mike did look a little more sadder in the "here's what's gonna happen" clip lol
Even though Mike was a killer he wasn’t always that way before. He’s a man of substance who loved and cared for his family. Saul/Jimmy showed that his whole life was about money. As he proved out in the desert with the conversation with Mike at the water well. He became full Saul after Kim left and there was no turning back.
13:35 closest jimmy ever got to Walt lmao
Every one of these scenes, Mike says in one way or another for Jimmy to move on. At any point if Jimmy actually listened to that man for a second, literally nothing moving forward would be possible.
This entire story is a lit fuse and Jimmy constantly keeps it from getting snuffed out.
As he says in the end "Walter White couldn't have done it without me" We basically got the frame story to Breaking Bad.
These two made the best scenes in breaking bad and better call saul even better than walt and jesse and fring and lalo ..........
I require more contain and spin offs from breaking bad and better call Saul. If it will be same atmosphere and similar plot twists - I want you to take my fkn money and give me the contain. Just take it got dammit..

“i can’t believe there’s like over a billion people on this planet, and the only person i have to talk about this to is you”.
what did jimmy mean by this exactly? is he simply saying he’s alone in this or is he saying mike was no help to him in that conversation?
Yeah, saul/jimmy seemed like he was really tortured with the whole saga. Mike knew how to check his feeling and didn't care to be Sauls therapist about it any longer.
Its surreal seeing both of these characters before how they were in breaking bad. Adds so much to them, Francesca snd huell, i hate when people say its just backstory. Its a better story than breaking bad imo. Not as action packed but much more polished and refined story wise
