I saw this episode for the first time on WTTWl, channel 20.1 in Chicago on 6 June, 2018. It had sub-titles, which enabled me... an American with limited fluency, but an inquisitiveness to watch the episode.
i know that you want this and your other episodes to rank high, but you won't get into the US market unless you add sub-titles and curb the ads to about 3 per episode.
There IS a market for these episodes here.
Hi gene koveski I am in the US, too, and fluent in both English and German language. I grew up in northern Germany which is the setting of these episodes and I think it would be difficult to translate into English without losing most of the humor specific to this area. The Hamburg dialect alone is a hoot. The ads: I use Adblocker plus and that little extension takes care of the ads on all websites. Good day!
I saw many episodes of this, along with some other EU shows on MHZ network (subtitled) One thing I found the funniest was the inclusion of the police in the first episode (.....making another appearance in another later episode) of Bukow and Konig, detectives from another awesome German show ! Like having Law and Order detectives appear on Seinfeld. :D
