You guys should try The Pottery House Cafe. The pottery that you saw is what they use to serve your meals at the cafe. The food there is amazing! We love the Creamery too!

Love those bear salt and pepper shakers. I hope you can buy them, those are adorable. Both your meals looked so good and I love the Italian style green beans, they just taste better to me than the regular ones. If the Old Mill serves breakfast, I can only imagine how stuffing it would be. I'd probably have to go back to the hotel and take a nap afterwards. Thanks for letting us tag along.
That would be a terrific breakfast place because then you’d save money on lunch and dinner by still being stuffed!!

We have had so much rain, all the rivers and creeks are up. I always love that sound, so peaceful. The catfish is delicious! It is hard to make a choice when everything is delicious. Have fun and enjoy.

Good morning Danno!!!!! I am so glad you and Jess are having a great time. Sometime you guys need to do a day trip toward south bend Indiana. There is a restaurant chain called Hacienda Mexican restaurant. They have the best homemade ranch dressing and salsa sauce you will ever have, and they have their own chips that they serve hot. It is so worth a trip there. It will be the best meal you will ever have
We have 3 old mills in our area. None of them make flour anymore, but one mill is functional. They have a festival at one of the mills every year. I've seen that restaurant but we never ate there. We rented a house up in the mountains for a week when we stayed in Gatlinburg. I wanted to stay in a log cabin but we had dogs, so we had to take what we could get. We got a real nice place with a hot tub and fireplace.

I'm just like Jessica, thinking of trying something different at a restaurant then ordering, the chicken tenders. The food and shakes looked so good, now I want to go to the ice cream shoppe.

My mom made hot open faced sandwiches. She would use canned pork or canned roast beef. OMG!! The best comfort food ever! I miss my mom! Maybe tomorrow I'll make that. Mmmmmm. Thanks for the nostalgia!!

Hopefully your time.will come. We are 65 and our first big trip ever will be in August. An Alaska cruise. I had a hard time paying out the money.
@laurijohnson7754 WOW, an Alaskan cruise is #1 on my travel wish list. I have a friend who goes on ALOT of cruises and gets huge discounts. Once I get approved with SS Disability, I will be able to go on one with her. I'm 57, btw. I hope y'all have a fantastic cruise. I've heard an Alaskan cruise is amazing!

I enjoy your travel videos. You & Jess have the best time. You two are adorable. I like that you’re honest with reviews. The Old Mill restaurant sounds like the perfect place for a country dinner. You mentioned that’s there’s a Texas Roadhouse in the area . That’s my son’s favorite chain restaurant. He loves the chicken critters with the honey mustard. I’m wondering if Jess likes those too , since she enjoys chicken tenders. I have watched all Memorial Day getaway videos. I’ve only been in Buc-ee’s for food and to get gas and it’s a quick stop for us . lol my husband always wants to make good travel time . Buc-ee’s is a great place for a food stop because it has something for everyone. ❤

Yummy ! you have got my mouth watering you guys now I'm hungry lol When we lived in NH we went to the Old Mill Restaurant and they had a very nice location and pretty setting to. We had a window seat next to the river very nice place. It would take us 3 and 1/2 hours to get to the Tennessee Old Mill restaurant I would definitely ride the Ferris Wheel and the bus tour some day we can go there hubby said after I recover from Chemo thank you for this wonderful trip you make it Like I am with you both . Safe travels .

@@brendah4773 no problem. I've been going out there for many many years. I go out several times a year. That little side road that goes down right in front of the Old Mill restaurant is a store, Smoky Mountain Cat house. I make pottery that she sells in there. She has a lot of cat and dog products in there.

Online its Max Kats designs but the Smoky Mountain cat house sells pottery that I make. And then there's another store out there that bought a few pieces from me that were bear spoon rest and a few other items. Locally, another store sells general pottery that I make. I haven't sold a lot online in a while because the stores and local keeps me busy. I had an emergency with one of the cats and haven't been able to get out to restock the shelves at Smoky Mountain cat house. Hoping to get back out there at least in a few weeks. I have to wait and find out what's going to happen with my cat.
