Hi guys, really good episode, just love shopping with Jess. Beware, if you ever come across the pond to UK, cider here is an alcohol drink and the cloudy is called Scrumpy cider, and is very strong. We don't have apple butter where I come from but it looks like apple puree. Nice to see an ingredient list there that just had one ingredient. I am loving travelling with you both , thank you ❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹
We also have the alcoholic version of cider here in the US too, called hard cider, so delicious! Apple butter is made like applesauce, but you cook it down more, removing more liquid, so it becomes more concentrated. Then you can spread it on toast, pancakes, waffles, etc. You can make it with any fruit and also preserve it in jars yourself.
Love the Apple Barn and their restaurants! Yum those Apple Fritters and Apple Butter are so so delicious! We always eat there a few times when we are in the Smokies. Love The Pottery House Cafe over by the Old Mill too!
Danno and Jess, if you ever go to Michigan, they have the largest Christmas store I believe in the world, it is open all year except for Christmas and Thanksgiving I think, it’s called Bronner Christmas Store in Frankenmuth Michigan, while you are there you can explore the german themed shops, absolutely wonderful

The Apple Barn was one of my favorite places to eat in Gatlinburg. The apple fritters/butter were so delicious. We use to always stop at the Pancake Pantry. I've been told that Trish's Mountain Diner is good. For something super decadent, Waffle de Lys. So glad you two were able to take a break & are enjoying yourselves.
My husband and I were just in Palmer, Alaska. They also have a “Three Bears 🐻 General Store.” It’s an Alaska Chain of stores I guess. Now I wish I would have taken a picture for you.
