The best present I ever gave myself was starting to learn to play the saxophone when I was 48. It has helped me through some tough times. It has also provided me with a lot of fun and happiness. Playing with other people but also just playing by myself. Discovering new things. Entertaining other people. Listening to musical. A true blessing.

Been a big fan since hearing Uncle Tupelo on WXPN in Philadelphia back in ‘93. Jeff’s music, in all its incarnations, along with Jay Farrar’s has been a mainstay in my life ever since! I’m jealous of those just discovering him/them. There is SO much to hear! Also, I really hope that Jeff and Jay will reunite at some point, even if just for one performance.

I would bet 99% of people would have the anxiety disorder JT speaks of if they pursued getting out on stage to sing, speak. etc- i.e. worrying that they have nothing worth saying. I have always loved JT because has a such a great, weird, unique perceptive view that I don't always understand but...I wanna hear all about it. Dude was VERY good looking once. This was about 20 years ago. Then he got big into drinking and hard drugs. Crazy... Don't ever go down that road folks...
Actually,5 years ago he looked pretty good,he just gained a lot of weight. He never really had a drinking problem but he did have drug problems during the recordings of summerteeth and quit smoking soon after his kids were born. He said that in his words
