    The hardest part about learning about handicapping is terminology and the lack of explanation. This is the very best breakdown of determining race shape and basics that i have seen yet. I wish I had this a few years ago.

    Hey, Paul enjoyed your video, and thanks, I am an angle type of handicapper, the problem with angle betting is everyone figures out the angle and this causes odds depletion, I started messing with pace and had mixed results so far, I think your handicapping knowledge is on another level, it really is a good thing in what you are doing, helping the handicapper.

    It's good to drill down the basics. If you put together a series on the foundation of handicapping, I'd watch them all.
    Thanks for this one.

    Love it...
    You and Jonathan Kinchen are my favorites. At least Kinchen "was" until he was accused of someone in Vegas helping with his selections. He is still an okay guy and very knowledgeable. Apparently Jonathan copped out to the accusations, although I'm not absolutely positive. (I'll withhold judgement),
    but now YOU solely take the #1 spot of them all. Anyway... I still think you should consider marketing BOTH your training videos AND handicapping selections via a website. The monthly subscription
    would be the way to go. All the big e-commerce sites process payments from almost all payment modes. (PayPal, all credit cards, etc) In my humble opinion Paul, the KEY would be getting the word out through the horse player community via press, advertising, radio programs, commercials, press releases, etc. You most certainly have both the personality and talent to make it happen. There are several commercial websites that you could put your products on. Websites to look at are Go-Daddy, 1and1 and many more. To conclude, I love your shows, your chat room regulars and please know again I have absolutely no agenda. I'm an old guy with a creative racing mind and a ton of time on my hands, both together are a deadly combination!
    Keep up the great work Paul and I wish you and yours all the best.
    Greg Ross
    P.S... Bentley needs more face time on camera!

    Thanks Paul for doing this handicapping series and for putting in the time to share you knowledge with us. You have a refreshing style in the crowded space of racing videos on this platform. I was wondering how you are doing those mark ups on the Brisnet PPs. I have been using the Custom PP Generator for years and wondering if I have missed this inside of that software. This series alone should have people subscribing to your channel. A no cost way of gaining valuable information from one of the best.

    Decided to watch the video. Agree with what you are saying here. One thing I do on problem horses is look at where they finished. The 7 horse in the second is a example. Most of his good finishes also happened when he pressed or was the pace. We would agree on this horse. I expect a horse to run in a way that makes him successful. If he does not do this, just make a note of it. Might help explain why he ran bad the next time you run across this horse.

    @The Shake up great video! Been doing running styles on every race with cut-offs almost exactly like yours for over a decade. Only thing I do different is not to mix surfaces. The last horse in the example race I would have had him as early since the race was on the dirt. Lots of ways to skin the handicapping cat!

    I think the thing is knowing which of the early pace leaders is most likely to fold in a speed duel

    Thanks Paul! Very helpful. What do you mean when you say "missed the break"? and whats the difference between ST and 1C as it looks like you were looking at both columns to decide if they type of a horse they are?

    • @TheShakeup1
      @TheShakeup1  2 года назад +2

      missed the break just means slow start, reared just a excuse at the start. Look at 1st call mostly I just noticed brisnet adjust 1miles and 1 1/16 miles little different at 1 1/16 I think the st is the 1st call. and the rest the 1st call is the 1st call.
