- Ryan (@ryanhardwick__) had success in several forms of racing but he always wanted to get in a proper car and get out on the track. As a Lamborghini enthusiast, the idea of being an owner/driver of a Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo Race Car was the dream. What would it take for him to make that happen?

My new favorite insult is “ unconsciously incompetent”
That's not even an insult, though. 'Unconsciously incompetent' is just the word 'ignorant' rephrased; if someone means to go around and insult people who are ignorant, then they're just an asshole, lol.
So this guy made his own company, learned how to race a car and madr his own Race Team to compete in a car. And he is really good at it?
Damn, hope he wins next year.
iaintdonknow same! This guy deserves it 100%
Something tells me it's his dads company he inherited lol
He had money
Wanna know how to make a small fortune
Take a large fortune and go racing
The wise words of Junior Johnson.
If you haven't started yet it's to late
stonks
Very humble and knowledgeable guy! All the best to him and his future races. He will succeed.
Thanks a lot VINwiki team, we appreciate your work a lot. You bring us people and stories we would never have heard of if not for your effort of presenting them. They're second to none.
Австралия Без Купюр well said!
What a great, disciplined, level-headed and yet still inspirational and aspirational video. Great to hear someone describe the very realistic real-world approach to racing without the "follow your dreams and passion and it will happen" fantasy jargon. Yes, what it actually takes is a lot of money and a lot of hard work. Along with the discipline required to make those things happen and work in conjunction together.
This is such an underrated channel
Thank you. Fun to watch it grow.
Totally! First in its class.
so fucking true....
+Ed Bolian this is Definitely gonna grow huge, if not humans are dumber then previously thought, although common sense is not common nowadays lol
Haha. I am just glad people are enjoying the content. We are having a good time putting it together and it has been great exposure for the app.
Simple answer is a LOT of money. Ferrari Challenge cost around 1.1Million a year to compete so Super Trofeo should be around the same.
About $20,000 - $40,000 per round easily. Just to run and enter the car. Plus consumables. Plus repairs. Plus travel. Plus meals. Plus the price of the car. As he said, the cost of an Aventador, just to COMPETE. And not necessarily win. That costs even more. Racing a Lambo though - priceless. Nothing would compare.
Is a rich mans sport thats for sure. A lot of the young guys in it are from rich family's....... just how it is. Guy probably inherited his family business.
James Avery I only have $3 could I be a race car driver
ThatGuy Mar no
@@dons1932 Dude you know nothing you can go on 24h marketplace and if you’re good and win some races or podium for your class then go out for sponsorship and fyi it’s $20,000 and insurance is usually 1500 or 2000 a race for damage if done
Last time I was this early, the Evora dash hadn't even shrunk yet.
Clint Gliford that was yesterday😂
Good one Clint
They had to get the ants out first.
Dafuq, bruh?... You gonna do this every time?
Bryan Ham “a solid joke” wow... what a fucking idiot
I give this guy credit I wouldn't have been able to tell that story without a lot of beeps
I love seeing his amazing cars around Atlanta. His Voodoo Blue 918 was the most epic car in our town.
Wow, that incident that cost you the championship was despicable, what sort of 're-join' is this?!
A Lamborghini and big ole' set of balls.
One of the best ever. It’s been a lifelong dream to be able to do SuperTrofeo
D Black is super trofeo with all gt3 cars or only Lamborghini?
iaintdonknow It's all Lamborghini.
A lesser man would have lost his shit on that driver that hit you twice knocking you out of the race on the 2nd collision.
Must be nice to have money as a kid and parents that will let you spend it as you see fit. Damn.
I know right.
That is the best looking race car any road-car producing manufacturer has built. Amazing.
Absolutely inspiring!! Thank You so much for sharing! Once You make a decision, just patiently follow it through with an awareness that it is inevitably going to happen, along with a little research, & of course PASSION fueled action!!
Way to chip away & make Your dream(s) a reality Ryan! A fantastic model to follow for sure!
Thank You Ed for bringing such inspiration, knowledge, & fun to my days! It definitely keeps my Passion alive as I focus on my dreams manifesting & helping others to do the same :).
Unlimited Blessings to You & the whole community :)!
Timothy Wachowicz Yeah, its inspiring, but the sentence at 5:35 kinda killed it
^ exactly, and on top of the $$$, add many years to it. Now, from my perspective, I am 28 years old with civil engineering degree and working since 5 years. I love my job hence went to school for it, but love racing too, always been. I need more than an inspiration to push what I have aside and focus on racing. His dad is the real model in here IMO. If my dad was into Motorsports, could've been a different story, but he was a civil engineer.
The #71 Super Trofeo is driven by the only Sri Lankan international Motorsport star Dilantha Malagamuwa, who became P2 but was since the race got red flagged before he crossed the timing-line he was awarded P3. Such a entertaining race. Proud to be a Sri Lankan. Btw im LOVING this channel. Great work ED.
Time to start saving.
And then buy a house :)
I'll live in the garage ;)
And buy a Gayardo lol😂
If you haven't started yet it's to late
@@filipolofsson why are you hear just to tell a bunch of people in the comments "if they haven't started yet it's too late" ? You probably never started and figured out that you can't start, so you're stick playing arcade type racing games or any other game mate.
Another awesome video. You guys are my second favorite channel only behind Philip DeFranco. Have you ever considered having a second channel having your vinwiki guests speak on their business stories/success? I ask because I’m 23 and own my own business and just from watching this videos I see the crazy potential of your guests being successful on and off the track. Just how that guy broke down his goals I can see his aptitude for being successful in anything he does.
Tyler Jacobson here’s a tip: don’t tell the entire internet you’re gay for Philip DeFranco.
OnPointFirearms lol
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say his family was well off and helped him out.
The new video notification is the savior of my boring mornings.
It’s pretty crazy when you realize the skill level involved in racing. But then compare it to the highest of classes and it’s just mind blowing crazy. Huge respect for motor racing in general
'Ryan is just simply awsome..so matter of fact and comes across as a very cool guy...I especially like the fact he has paid his dues and acknowledges that..thanks for the great video. Keep them coming!
I want more racing and crash films from this guy👍👍
I always love seeing Ryan's cars at Caffeine and Octane.
"Caffeine and Octane" haha never heard of that. We just got cars and coffee + cars and cappuccino here in Boston
Awesome guy need to hear more of his stories
Cool stuff, thanks for sharing! I fell in love with the Super Trofeo when I saw one for the first time at my local C&C.
I was fortunate enough to be able to work with mountain motorsports for 4 years and met ryan many times. Such a humble and inspiring gentleman.
I think those injuries at a young age taught you how to be that perseverant! Congrats man! Really enjoyed listen yo your story.
Can't wait to watch ya! I love the PWC series. Actually know a few people who race in it.
VIN WIKI IS BEYOND AMAZING!
Awesome story. Props to this guy. Something I've dreamed of since a kid. If you want something you gotta work for it.
Amazing! More of this guy please!
Truthfully I was hoping for Ed
Well this is a treat! A Lamborghini racing driver! Very inspiring story, this dude has clearly worked his way to the top. I mean clearly he's wealthy enough to be a damn 918 but continues to grind towards becoming a racing champ. Props.
That’s awesome, I’ve bought a motorcycle from him, helmet, jacket and some more stuff. This guy is definitely goals for my future!
Ryan is a great guy. There's a reason we keep coming backing to Mountain Motorsports
I would be pissed if the guy that wrecked me ended up placing above me. Especially if it was for first place!
6:16 Grasser Racing Team hell yeah!
My favorite Daytona 24 winner
geez I subbed in like September at around 60k subs and its already at 228k keep it going ed and vinwiki love this channel.

🤘😎👍
great video.
Spoke fast and to the point. no car salesmen bs tone.
To the point.
This is why he owns the businesses he does.
Notice his watch is worth more then most of the viewers cars.
This man has invested more then a few million in this adventure.
Wow. This is incredibly inspiring! Time to start saving
Good luck in this upcoming season great video
Vin wiki stickers would be cool to start out as for as merchandising
He's so inspiring, I've always been pretty gifted behind the wheel unfortunately I've never had the chance to get in to any kind of car racing but I did follow my dream of driving in a different detection and got my cdl I hope one day I have the funds to test how good I actually am with a race car
That guy is wearing a Audemars Piguet Royal oak rose gold that’s a 50,000 Dollar watch 😲😲
I like every video on this channel. I literally watched one video and I kept watching😂
Imola was the San Marino GP, the Italian is at Monza - awesome tales though look forward to more!
I done the sheet roc finishing in his gatlinburg store, was a huge job with crazy joints cause they done a whole outdoor scene
I wouldn't be suprised if VinWiki hits 1m subscribers by 2019!
I love seeing him bring out his cars at Caffeine and Octane. I talked to him once and he’s super nice.
Last time I was this early Kimmi still had the 2nd key to the Lambo.
is this a thing now?
Michael Weston What?
Michael Weston ....yep
Seems to be.
VINwiki ;)
Wait... this guy is the owner of Mountain Motorsports?? That dealer has exploded into the motorcycle market lately.
I pass mountain Motorsports every time I go to gatlinburg lol. Almost bought a Rzr from them too
It definitely looked like he came back onto the track and purposely took out that guy so that it would still result in his win..
Everything you can get away with in racing is possible. Maybe you and I now better.
This is good stuff. I hope to get to a Super Trofeo race and I'll be supporting Ryan and the hometown Lambo Atlanta team.
My uncle's brother in law owns a Super Trofeo racing team in Cali at Button Willow called US Racetronics
That A.P. Brick though 😍😍 my dream watch.
When you have an accident on the track like this one, is there insurance? Or is it all out of pocket
Very cool! I can't imagine the pressure at that level .
Awesome guy and awesome story!
Absolutely inspiring! Something I desperately want to achieve
you are the man...Driven. Go get that Championship Ryan!.
Living in Ga makes this channel even more interesting
When he said ,, consciously competent, now u atleast know your dumb,I died ,😂😂😂
“Unconciously incompetent... meaning youre dumb and you dont even know youre dumb” fck thats so funny and so true
Need updates on him when they happen. Cool story.
The title of this video is my dream come true!
Wow respect no middle adds
Thank you for the information, I'm trying to become a race car driver myself. Look like I'm going to save a lot of money.
And NOW this guy's with a championship-winning team in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship! What a guy, go Ryan!
I use to Drag race and Oval track in lower classes. I know how expensive that is. I can only guess how much this would be.
At 8:30 it honestly looks like that guy came back onto the track with revenge trying to take Ryan out! It may not be the case but it 100% looks like it, he turned extremely sharp when he got back onto the track. A time when he should have been focused on accelerating out of the turn and keeping a straight line through traffic.
Great story this how should life reach for your goals! Hey Ed bigger size hoodies for your bigger fans please.
Can we get a update on this guy? I just found this video thanks I love what you do.
He is one of the three drivers in No.16 Wright Motorsports Porsche that wins the GTD class of 2022 Rolax Daytona 24 hour.
This gave me some inspiration
How much does it cost to repair these cars after those crashes?
Got my t-shirt today!! Yeah!!
Is that mountain motor sports from Ontario , so cal ?
coming back 5 years later and I'm proud to say. I watched Ryan race in the 24h Daytona.
Last time i was this late Ed still owned a Audi s4
I still cant figure out why they make the videos just shy of 10 minuets. Like fr add 10 seconds and make it like 10:03 and make some more money on the videos.
JFK Clinic because Ed is a boss and says fuck you to the YT algorithm he’s just gonna put out great content. Joking aside I agree with you
JFK Clinic yea they should this channel should have 10x the subs it does.
Tyler Jacobson i agree he prob doesn’t need extra money but like its a extra 10-15 sec like go for it i want u to make more money bc the videos or so
Good lol
It would also grow the channel quicker but I’ve been around since they were 35k and it’s crazy to see how fast they are growing in a topic that usually doesn’t explode like vloggers or fortnite players do
Tyler Jacobson yeah its crazy. Ed is so good and should just reward him self a little bit
Vin wiki might as well branch out and talk about people who ride motorcycle as well and start merchandising
Cool video and nice AP 👌
I drove a lambo for the first time last year ! I wanna because a race driver to man I’m gonna do it
I have a question you have to buy the cars and pay to race every weekend right not only that but you also need mechanics trackside support etc I really want to race in the supertrofeo series eventually at one point in my life when I get older
So I value any information you can give me as to what I need and how to get started
Great video
RYAN we need a new hypercar in ATL you must fulfil this
If he makes it to the Rolex 24 I will definitely keep an eye out for him
Pure inspiration!
This guy owns mountain motor sports
This video is pretty useful as Formula One is mad expensive but probably super trofeo and other small racing series might be cheaper
I am now going to watch IMSA races more often now that I know someone. Cool story
Would like to hear more from this guy
“Your dumb and you dont even know your dumb” lmao
Holy shit I've seen this guy on Instagram. Would be cool to see his car collection and meet him
I will race one day. I am going to do this
Hey,Maybe we might cross paths...
Same
i feel you
If you haven't started yet it's to late
@Adolfo Padilla Ureña It's too late for a lot of the bigger motorsports. Rally, formula racing, indycar, nascar, rally and more
I've often wondered, with the amount of talent and capital that exists in the Atlanta area, what is keeping Ga from becoming a true racing destination? We have world-class tracks, loads of ground support and heavy manufacturer support. I've been involved in the hobby since the mid90s, but it seems like the interest in the area consistently plateaus, followed by a loss of interest. In my experience, it just seems like all of the pieces are in place for an American version of Maranello or the F1 valley in England. Any input?
8:29 "Worst crash of my life" Thats like 3 million dollars in damage. Those are both totaled. I couldn't even begin to relate to that. wow.
_ VesBraun
I don’t know, 3 million might be a bit high, but either way its staggering amount of money. It’s a bitch at the bottom.
Coderbro_
I have no experience on Lamborghini race cars, but I do have a little street car experience. I once replaced all the left side suspension parts on a new Gallardo, that repair was pushing $30k. That looked like a pretty good hit, that car may have been ready for the glue works.
5th ED you are an awesome content producer
Thanks so much
Are you gonna start a driving school in Atlanta? Sign me up if you do
