Sometimes it feels boring listening to canon due to its slow and over-familiar melodies. However, you will definitely feel calm if you accidentally listen to this piece at any chance.
I guess this is the one of the reasons why classical music's called 'classic'.
It has better sounds than playing alone because another 2 hands obviously help. haha

Actually, Canon is not boring. It's very calming (peaceful) and I love to listen to this kind of music. Classical music is one of the best musics for me. 💕

첫 음을 듣는 순간부터 20번 넘게 돌려듣는 지금까지 왜 계속 눈물이 나는지.. 화나거나 슬픈 일이 있었던 것도 아닌데 너무 서럽게 눈물이 나요ㅠㅠ 근데 여기서 나갈 수가 없어요.. 이 음악을 멈추는 순간 제 주변을 감싸고 있던 공기들이 풍선 터지듯 팍 터져 사라질 것 같은 느낌이라 이대로 가만히 머물러 있고 싶네요.. 항상 감사한 맘으로 감상하지만 오늘은 특히 더 고맙습니다 따뜻한 밤 되세요❤

개인적으로 캐논 덕후라... 아랑님이 말씀하시는 그 부분 격하게 공감하는 바입니다. ㅠ.ㅠ
느리고 지루하다는 분들도 많이 계시지만 저에게 캐논이란 곡은.. 학창시절 아이리버에 넣어두고 수능 때까지 한번도 지운 적 없었던 것 같아요. 부족한 연주이지만 이렇게 좋은 감정 얻어가신다니.. 너무 감사합니다!!

I’m 51 years old and like a bunch of music styles from classic rock to heavy metal, ballads, salsa, cumbia, country, classical, being classic rock my favorite, but if I had to choose one song to be my favorite it would be Johann Pachabell Canon in D, and of course, the piano version
I simply LOVE IT 😍
I am torn between Cannon in D and Greensleeves!
I love this piece not because it is hard or intimidating to see someone play but it is super easy to listen to and is super relaxing
한사람에서 두사람으로. 두손에서 네손으로. 음색은 네곱절 이상으로 아름다워진다. 피아노 듀엣은 한사람 늘어난거 이상으로 좋아지네요.

my late mother and i used to play this every holiday starting from when i was about 13, i think this exact version, i was the bass, she the treble but i think we sometimes traded off.... i think the last time we played this together was maybe 20 years ago..... wow to listen brings back so many physical and sound memories and life

I don't know if they practiced this first, or not. I'd say yes. And don't get me wrong....if they did, it takes nothing away from how smooth they played. But when I watch duets on the piano, I always wonder if they are practiced first, or if they are both given a song and are told to play it together by watching each other and going off what the other one plays.
My dad and I would always play heart & soul together. But since we knew how to play, we could make up whatever we wanted and just went with the flow. I always thought duets were better that way. You have no idea what to expect. But if both players know music really well, they can make some amazing sounds happen together.
The Canon in d major is the music of heavens.
