If you are buying multiple rings at a market even if they are marked at $50 each, it's worth asking if you can buy two for $60 or for a discount as your buying more depending on your budget as bargaining is one of the few perks of being at a market

There was so much stunning jewellery. I agree the prices are ridiculous at markets. I went to one about a month ago in a fancy suburb in Sydney and saw this gorgeous filigree style necklace that she was charging over $40 for. She said it was sterling silver but I highly doubt it because I couldn't see a stamp anywhere. When I got home I googled some more ways to check and found out that the metal shouldn't be able to bend, which this piece did. Wish I knew and haggled a better price. Oh well.
You could totally turn that bow brooch into a necklace quite easily. You can buy black suede string from craft stores and you could've threaded it on either side and tied it in the back. Also, depending on how much effort you wanna make, you can buy a base with a loop that you can glue to the back from most craft shops.

yeah I had the same issue where I’d find some gorgeous bracelet or ring and I’d pick it up and it was super light so I thought oh this isn’t even real sterling silver but they’d still be asking $50+ for it 😭

Some of the stalls at Camberwell Market will drop their prices close to closing time. Usually the ones that are there just to get rid of stuff though, not the ones that have stalls all the time.

If you're looking for good jewelry definitely try going to some estate sales. I found a sterling silver and onyx ring today at a barn sale for $17.50! It was the second day of the sale so everything was 30% off, definitely go on sale days. I'm not buying cheap jewelry anymore, I'm investing in gold, copper and sterling silver jewelry that will become heirlooms and only get more valuable as time goes on (and not turn my skin green lol). I went to a ‘vintage clothing market’ and when I arrived it was all 2000-2010 clothing all priced ridiculously and everyone there were posers 🙃 felt so uncomfortable
