Grace Berger showing why she's the best conditioned and hardest working player in the B1G. Michigan played well, but couldn't overcome Grace. And Big Mac just is a bucket down low. Indiana has a team to play in the FF if they stay healthy.

Coach Barnes Arico? Love ya, but...When are YOU and STAFF going to teach your defenders to : Box Out????? " Long shots rebound long, short shots rebound short ", coaching 101.
You have to teach your wolverines that every time the other team gets an offensive board on a miss, that it is like a TURNOVER! Emphasis every practice on the boxing out drill, religiously here on out , OK?! Good.
FINALLY, this former player and coach highly recommends that you need to get your TALLEST bench / scrub CENTER players lots of minutes asap. You simply can't beat the current super powerhouses without nurturing your tallest biggest center player(s) available on roster before it's too late, no matter how inexperienced !
Look, There is still almost 2 months before the ncaa tourney begins so you best address this issue ASAP.
On the plus side, your Michigan team has great ft shooters, ball handlers, passers..... wonderful ,..but , again, you definitely need to work harder on defense and on the fundamentals such as boxing out far far far better.
    M GO BLUE!

A problem I notice, and it's gonna be a detriment to the team, is Kiser's shots being blocked frequently. She's about 6'4', and is positioned as the center. The reason her shots are often blocked, by smaller players, is because of how she shoots her shots going to the rim. she is bringing the ball up from her waist in one motion as a shot, from a wide angle. It's either gonna be blocked because there is no vertical to the arc, or it's gonna be stripped because it's too low.
@3:55 is a prime example. Instead of stopping and taking the little 10 footer, she tries to produce contact with a smaller player. She needs to slow down, and utilize her height in that situation.
I do agree more bench players need playing time. Varejao is a senior who is the tallest player, yet she often plays in garbage time. They need her presence defensively, and offensively. Kiser starts, rotate Varejao and Williams. Hobbs is getting more playing time, along with Wiggins. If you notice, we are scoring and avg. of 85pts since they have been implemented more in the offense. Little things are hurting us in these crucial games, but those little things lead to losses and our final mark in the Big10. Iowa just beat Ohio State, we needed this win.
