The desert is a hot, uncomfortable place, but the desert is also a place where God meets with His people and shows us miracles.
Everyone has “deserts” in their lives - times when things are difficult. During such times it is important to remember that God is with us, He wants to speak to us, and we need to be attentive to what He says.
Since Old Testament times, God has always desired to be in the midst of His people. Even then He spoke prophetically of what would dwell within us. Our bodies are the temple of His Holy Spirit.
Do we know how to keep this temple worthy? Is the Holy Spirit comfortable in it? Do people feel the presence of the Spirit in our temple when they interact with us? And what does it take for people to experience an encounter with God after meeting with us? On June 16, 2024 youth pastor David Grabovenko preached about this.
