As always, my post-video rant comment! Mistakes at the professional level are pretty common, especially (and surprisingly) fundamental mistakes. Fundamentals in OW are very complex and easy to mess up under pressure. These players are playing at LAN and again, under a lot of pressure, so you can't blame them for making mistakes (I wouldn't do any better, that's for sure). In this video I do call out players for some silly mistakes, but just remember that these players are still VERY good. And yes I poke a bit of fun at Viol2t, but also remember Viol2t is one of the best, if not the best Support player of all time. If anything, this shows that even the best make mistakes! Still working on figuring out my mic. I realize there were some fluctuations in volume and quality of the mic. I will work on this. I also tried some new things with graphics, hope you liked those! Thanks for watching, and thank you for 20k subscribers. I will try to get these out more often, this one took longer since I tried new things.
I don't know if you will read this, but my best guess is that the call was for violet to stall the bot from the high ground until flora gets back to Bob point to stall further for the full stack of ults coming up that would prevent fnatic from getting the checkpoint
Wait wait. I haven't been following the Overwatch competitive scene since the transition to ow2. Back in the ow1 days, Violet was one of the very best support in the world. Is it common occurence for him to make such big mistakes ? What happened to the guy ?
Ive genuinely got tears in ny eyes from all the mistakes made, its a wonder to see donghak, violet and heesung all make mistakes that i absolutely do still make it was an awesome breakdown and i had such a great time watching and learning a but more of the fundamentals of pro play. Great stuff ocie
Violet’s play is something I’d expect in a Tommathon thumbnail for the week. It’s just so odd yet perfectly in Violet’s character to do something like that
Even before you said anything about it I was thinking: “that’s a little far to be walking out of spawn alone, Viol2t… Viol2t?” But once you mentioned it I realized what was about to happen and my thoughts changed to “What are you doing? Why would you do that? Why would you even think about doing that?” I’m disappointed I didn’t get to see this clown fiesta live, and as always great breakdown Ocie!
Congratulations on 20k Ocie! So much love and deserved! Thank you for your analysis but also just your warm contribution to Overwatch esports and Overwatch in general! ❤
Love these videos, always appreciate the in depth analysis. Makes me a better player but also just entertaining. You’re a great ambassador for the game. Please keep it up!
Can you look into how Shock won eichenwalde yesterday even with PGE dying 22 times? It seemed like TSMs strategy was to all in on PGE at the detriment of winning
HE DIED 22 TIMES?!?! WTF???? Unfortunately a new patch is about to drop and codes are going to die. I am not planning on trying to rush another video on this patch, it would take me too long and I'd run out of time. Maybe I will try recording the POVs as a backup and see if I can cover it anyways though. I will see what I can do because holy ****.
Congratulations Ocie on 20k a huge inspiration to all so many of us. I love learning and knowing pros also make mistakes knowing that we all can and should (as long as you learn from). Ty Ocie do much! ❤
I’ve only been following for a few weeks, saw your tweet about your work on your voice, just wanted to say you’re doing fantastic with that! I’d not have even known you were working on it if you hadn’t said something. And the videos have been great
New queen Ocie analysis yippie!!! Watching this game was one hell of a roller coaster and understanding what was actually happening makes it even more interesting
I do highly analytical videos for Rocket League and am a big fan of how you articulate the position for my platinum brain. Really eye opening and I feel like I learn a lot a lot more about the game watching your videos. Thanks a ton. I'll be nabbing a bit of your style here and there in my own videos and making my own :D
I love this series. I also think it would be awesome to see this kind of breakdown in viewer submitted vods. Creators who make them always just do a first person view and basically just say stop sucking. I'd rather see a breakdown of team fights and how things differ between the ranks.
These are some damn good analysis videos, can you do one only specifically round 4 of Poker Face vs Zeta Division Stage 2 Korea Qualifiers Group Stage? I really need some analysis on that
I will see what I can do. Unfortunately replay codes are dying with new Season so I will probably have to cover matches played after the 21st in future videos.
Completely understandable that you were speechless with that play by violet, but lets unpack why that was so horrible. 1. He knows the enemy team is close enough to jump him 2. Theres noone to help out 3. He has ZERO reason to peak there, getting inspire up would be useless since hes alone and he already has rally 4. He even gets hit by ana and still decides to go for the whipshot. Knowing he just took a bit of dmg and the enemy team is now aware of him on highground Baffeling decisionmaking right there
Typical Viol2t gigafeed play tbh. He may be one of the best supports in the game but sometimes he just decides to engage the feed drive to fucking warp speed for no discernible reason.
Damn I don't play overwatch so watching this breakdown was already confusing af...i can't imagine watching this live at full speed, kudos to tho se Who do and even more to the pros lol
Loving the content. Are you considering doing a video explaining what went wrong for falcons in their 3-0 against CR (or something bigger about why CR are so good) because I'd love to watch something like that
The bubble/play from Heesung wasn't bad, it denies heals for Winston, Tracer and Ashe (for a short time), he then jumps Ana with Nano and gets slept but in the process draws focus from both Izayaki and Knife even though he can never die with Nano and Primal. This creates a 4v2 scenario on the high ground with Donghak and Checkmate being completely cut off and left to die
can you please do a episode on winston. There was a pretty instresting and recent match between NRG and TSM. Kellan played an amazing winston that I would love to understand more. PGE also made the call to switch from cass to sombra and they won even tho he had 22 deaths or something like that.
These mistakes are so common in this specific match, it was like each fight has 3 different players do a mistake or more.. is this because of lack of preparation from scrims or it is just that normal?
Hi, not an overwatch player here. The last time i seriously played and followed ow was before role lock when dps characters were removed from the game This is an insanely good video. Even my dumbass cs-pilled brain had zero problems understanding the concepts you talk about. Also cool to see names that I vaguely remember (leejaegon was shanghai? viol2t was sf I think) good shit man made me want to boot up ow2 again
Will admit I am quite chuffed with myself to realize that I learned to do something on my own in game before it was taught to me in a vid (Indirect peel).

Exactly! Professionals make mistakes too! Even the very best like Viol3t can never be perfect
I find it encouraging when even great players stumble from time to time

donghak found dead in the streets of colosseo after this one RIP no one could straight-line quite like him 💔
guxue reading his last rites as we speak
Donghak smacking his keyboard while trying to translate this
Where have you been, also may I have the stream schedule? The lack of Tommathan have left me violently twitching for so long.
