MJRXVII Kanapė kanapelė (trejinė sutartinė) TRYS KETURIOSE

An authentic Lithuanian folk song about hemp (Cannabis Sativa) from Aukštaitija (North-East Lithuania) sung by women's folk group Trys Keturiose at Baltic music festival "Mėnuo Juodaragis" MJRXVII (2014). Hemp has been one of the first cultural plants in Northern Europe, earliest archaeological findings of it from Lithuania date back to 3000BC Neolithic Narva culture settlements. No wonder that in Baltic folklore there are numerous archaic folk songs personifying and praising this plant.
