To the best of my knowledge there isn't specific lodging for ex military. There are plenty of short and long term rentals though. Sorry I couldn't be more of a resource for you with this.
I don't know much about the military Rentals but I believe it's part of the national guard training center at Kure Beach. There's some sort of housing there but I don't know.
