Imagine if THIS Luminosity team had Baskin in mid, it wouldve been over. ScaryD and Masked may be the most underrated solo/jungle duo in SPL history and showed up this LAN, and barra/jeff of course. Someone with immense game knowledge and technical skills like Baskin (who played mid for LG in a later season) it wouldve been a wrap
@@kieranpearson5096 nah he’s def the goat. Maybe in the long term we can talk about someone like Paul; but he doesn’t have the same legacy yet. It’s all Yammyn right now, and always has been.

I was in the audience for this. It really was amazing. And then that iza pick. You felt it. You could feel the energy drain from that room. Still an amazing set.
Anyone else notice how few of the pro's are still in the scene and the ones that were noticed all the interactions back I. The day or in SCC but recently challenged SPL like masked knowing even back then to ult for knockup immunity Vs geb and very small minute plays which turned fights back in the day which back then even high level ranked players didn't think about. Shows how much the entire smite scene has evolved to the point even ranked players are expected to understand even situational advantages and if they don't they aren't even considered average. It's absurd how far smite has come in terms of just the ranked scene let alone the pro scene
I've never been as deflated as I was when they picked Izanami mid. The most depressing pick I've ever seen in competitive Smite. I still can't believe it.

It’s unfortunate cause this is probably one of the last times we see Barra go full beast mode. Since this match until his retirement he hasn’t stood out much as an ADC with little glimmers here and there of this kind of form and skill
I came here to say one thing and one thing only; "FINALS ON THE YOU DONTT WANNA FINAL GRAB YOUR SHIT BABY IT'S NEMESIS JUNGLE!!!" this was such a fun set to watch.
I think people are forgetting the most important thing here. LG needed Soar to lose there next game to make it here. Then after that they made the defending champs sweat so damn hard that it just made this set an unbelievably amazing moment in smite history.
Funballer sent LG into worlds with his hard carry Freya. Qvo, funball, xaliea, trix and lawbster played better than the rest of the tournament, once the pressure was off of them
Masked’s Mercury in this set giving off serious “KanyeLife Ares” vibes. That was what flipped the games in LG’s favour. He had nowhere near the same impact playing Rat or Awilix
People forget that adapting had to build tanky or he would be targeted his damage wasn’t important compared to his utility on fenrir he had yamam and emil to do damage from his CC
It wasn't a horrendous pick, but just a bit of a "gimmicky" one... She provides an absolute ton of pressure from the midlane, which is helpful but she's extremely bad at escaping when junglers/solos jump on her, and she can't provide nearly as much as a mage can in a teamfight, which is where xeno had been standing out in that set. Historically, she was one of those picks that got tried out a few times per season, it inevitably went terribly, and everyone stopped picking her again. Very high risk high reward, but the risk didn't pay off here at all...
In 19:08 they could had a better result from this engament. Bellona w/o ult has very low escape potential, so he most likely would have died anyway. ScaryD was very low, could be a easy pick for Janus. Dimi should turned and used his 1 to box, bait the enemy damage, and Yammyn could secured a kill, bc ScaryD had no def, and he had a lot of flat pen, afterwards Dimi would died, and Janus would have fled. If Jing Wei stayed in the fight, she should've been the focus, since Baellona is a hard counter to her, probably would have been a relatively easy pick
