Definitely brought back my inner child 😁 it was like 1991 again when I got to drive the one my cousin gave me. Can’t wait to throw the sport tuned in it.. she’s definitely a BEAUTY!!!
They’re awesome trucks. I actually have a brand new motor for it. This one after a couple runs decided to die, but that’s to be expected with a 35 year old motor I suppose
It was great to see it out running around just like it would have been back in the day!!! It looks great and ran really well, even with the tired old motor in it!! A sport tuned it really going to perk it up and of course roll it a time or two!! Have fun with it and I am glad you were able to find some good replacements for the shock mount!
It was so much fun. I was all smiles. Even as slow as it run the fact that it’s alive again after so many years is awesome. Also I forgot how much I liked a twin stick controller. Might have to get me a modern one to start using on future Thad builds
Thank you Peter. This has been so much fun.. I feel bad Grayson can’t use his hand so he couldn’t drive it. He got injured in the great pumpkin carving fiasco of 2022😂 got stitches in his hand.. looking forward to putting the sport tuned motor in it. It’ll rip 😁
It’s been a lot of fun and brought back so many memories of not only my first run of my original Blackfoot, but tearing down and fixing my old Blackfoot. Now I gotta get a monster beetle, and a brat, and a frog, and another Blackfoot 😂😂😂😂
This really came out awesome Thad! I would chalk it up as a big Success! Once you get that Torque tuned motor in there it should get all it berrys back and then some! This looks like a ton of fun man! Great job!💯💯💯🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼😃
It felt good out there. I forgot these are decent but Illhandling at the same time. So much fun. Can’t wait to put a little power in it 😁 thanks for watching Brent
Thanks brother. I’m pretty proud of how nice it turned out. Wish I could afford to use that 35.00 per can automotive clear coat on all these builds, man the depth .. it’s definitely not a power house with that old weak motor in it but a 23t sport tuned is in its future 😎
Thanks my friend. It’s probably the nicest most detailed body I’ve done for an RC car.. that automotive catalyst clear is hard as a rock so as long as I don’t scrape the pavement it should last quite a few rollovers in the yard 😁
Thanks my friend. Definitely looking forward to the sport tuned. That should wake it up a bit. I should’ve done it in the first place but wanted to see if this old mabucci would run.
Awesome video.!! Love how your cameraman already wants to throw a Holmes Hobbies can in there.!! A little more juice would be nice but hey, not bad after a 30 year break.!! Well done guys.!!
He’s all about MORE POWERRRRRR😂 it felt so good to run this thing. Made me feel like I was 11 again.. wish Grayson could’ve driven it but being 1 handed that makes it nearly impossible lol
It was so much fun, I was smiling ear to ear even as that old tired motor started heating up and slowing down. Sport tuned meet Blackfoot 😁 coming soon
I’m actually thinking about getting the front one to match. Not only does it look cool, it’s much stronger than the originals 😁 thanks for watching my friend

That would have defeated the purpose of a retro build. I sourced all the vintage electronics cause I wanted a Blackfoot like I had as a kid. Now I may eventually get a 2016 reissue and fo that with modern electronics, but I wanted this as close to my original Blackfoot as possible but with a few custom touches
Takes me back to running mine.
Thanks Thad
Thanks for watching, totally brought back my childhood memories. Looking forward to throwing the sport tuned in it. 😁

Thank you my friend, truly appreciate it. It brought back so many memories of my childhood
Nice hop up part!! Ha ha Sparkle foot! Can't wait to see how she goes with the new motor... made you feel like a kid again! BEAUTY!

Sparkles! 💕😎👍
Great to see another oldie brought back to life and enjoyed.
Keep on trucking 😀
Thank you for watching. If ya haven’t already hit the subscribe button. It was so much fun bringing this one back to life
Looks great. 🤟🤠👍
Thank you, it’s been a fun restoration.. put a lot of work into it but it was well worth it.😁
Nice run Thad & great one handed camera work Grayson. Fun RC.
It was so much fun, even as I could feel the motor slowly dying. Looking forward to the sport tuned 😁
Nice work bringing BlackFoot back to life. I like how the motor is above the transmission and in a safe location. Awesome ! 👍👍

You both did a great job keep it up. Boy oh boy that black foot looks good.
Definitely the nicest one I’ve done. Thanks for watching, it sure brought back great memories for me.

Thanks brother. Felt great to run it. I forgot how nice a twin stick radio drives..
@@IowaBudgetRCBashers I got some twin sticks for my planes but haven't drove a car with one since my tycos when I was a kid

Excellent re-maiden run Thad! Lots of work sure went into it!👍😊
Thanks Jeremy. It definitely kept fighting back but in the end it turned out well. Can’t wait now to put the sport tuned in it 😁
Great first run of the restored Blackfoot! Looks good running around the yard. Now that everything is working well, have fun hot rodding it.👍😊
