Story 1: the dad didn’t start believing his son - he stopped believing his son’s ex. There’s a significant difference. Neither he nor any of OP’s family can be trusted.
Story #1 has a few holes, lol. First, the Father had evidence that exonerated his son in his possession. Did he save copies and deliver them to the police? He should have immediately taken her phone to them for proper processing to maintain chain of custody on the data. If he did not do that, he is a failure as a human and beyond forgiveness. I can overlook most flaws, but stupidity isn't one of them. Also, at NO point in wiping and resetting a phone do you need to look at text messages, or even open the messaging app, even if you intend to back them up. That is universally true. So what was he really looking for in there? Is the father a pervert, snooping on his son's ex, hoping for maybe a nude selfie or something? I don't think flipping the narrative is uncalled for, given what he assumed of his son. Turnabout is fair play, and really what was he snooping for? And did it not seem unusual that a victim of rape would want to spend time with the family of her attacker? How did that not raise eyebrows? That is not normal human behavior. I'm skeptical as to the authenticity of this story. If it is real, these are some very strange, very ignorant people.
Just tell your dad that thanks for letting you know that he is aware of the truth now, but you are not ready to reconcile with the family, if ever. Glad you let your brother back in your life.

Agree except for the brother who tried to help out.
2nd Story) That is absolutely disgusting exposing the children to the affair partner. If that was me I'd be in a Jail cell.

Yeah, this holes are deeper and wider than tank trenches

Why was he so close to the ex gf that he was "cleaning her phone"?
