- An Aqualine I100A-014 1" NPT all brass part and full circle impact sprinkler with a 5/16" drive nozzle and a 1/8" spreader nozzle, the sprinkler also features an adjustable water stream breakup pin. The sprinkler is operating at 52 PSI and about 22 GPM.

Hey Photocontrol!! nice video! I am looking for a nice impact sprinkler and this one may be the one I go with !! I have a few questions: I need to irigate my backyard , it measures 50 x 50 fenced in.
I'm not exactly what the PSI is on my residential water pressure but a plumber who did some work for me said he thought it was in the range of about 35 - 45 psi. the hose that I will be using from my spigot to the impact sprinkler is a 3/4" diameter hose and a length of about 75 feet. My goal is to have the I100A Impact Sprinkler cover my entire back yard without having to move the sprinkler around in my yard. Plus i will have the sprinkler on a timer as well. So my question is this: based on my PSI, hose diameter, length, and backyard dimensions, Do you think this Impact would be able to reach all my areas? Would a inline pump booster help the impact sprinkler throw water further ?? Pls let me know your thoughts , I really appreciate it, Troy
Hi Troy, thanks! This sprinkler will have no trouble watering your 50' x 50' area, it will water a 59 ft radius with the nozzle configuration and pressure I'm running at. The sprinkler has a breakup pin to reduce the distance of the stream if it's overshooting too far. At your pressure you should get a 57 ft radius at 43 PSI as long as you have a 20 GPM water supply. You may experience more restriction in flow from the spigot, timer controlled valve and distance through a 3/4" hose. A booster pump can help give you more distance if your water flow is less than 20 GPM. There can be different results between being on city or well water. If you require a booster pump then it would have to be timer controlled as well. If the 5/16" X 1/8" nozzle configuration requires too much water flow, then a smaller nozzle size of 9/32" X 1/8" will give a 55ft radius with 17 GPM, hopefully your corners will still get plenty of water. If 17 GPM is still too much flow, then you can fit a brass plug in the lower spreader port and operate only with a 9/32" nozzle, that will reduce the flow requirement down to 15.5 GPM. Hopefully this info helps. - Darren

I like these sprinklers and how quickly they move, but it is not balanced and so that is my only complaint, but it may be a design issue I do not know.
Western brass, Raintrol, KIFCO, Nelson,Toro,Irrigation king, Aqualine, etc, all of those brands got this design from the Raintrol patent that lapsed and these are still made today. Pretty good large size head with both range and short range coverage.

theres one that i havent seen but it looks more similar to nelson than anything. Knock off of it maybe? Also, 5/16" is what my F70A had in it when it arrived to my house. With 3 sources it runs pretty decent, I was afraid it would be too big for my setup. Must be working with a lot of pressure cuz i can hear it double tap towards the end of its arc. its got some good range, where did u get this ?
Yes it looks similar to a bigger version of a Nelson P-21 or a Turfco #7504, most likely a knock off of those brands. It had a lot of water volume/pressure going to it with the big pump at half throttle lol. I just noticed it’s got a lot of pressure behind it as the water curtain looks misty. Kinda like a p200 with a big pump running it. What would this do if you turned it up all the way ? Would the drive arm smack the back of the body making it go 2 directions ?

A bigger brother to my p30AB except with spoon arm. My P30AB has the PJ drive arm and small nozzles. I might try to run it off my parents faucet first then my pump. Well see. My P30AB has "260" stamped on the body of the impact. It's basically nelsons version of the 260 impacts you see all over now
It should run pretty well from the faucet depending on the nozzle size.

You might be better off going with a big gun or a big impact like a 11/4" nelson p85 or rainbird 85E those can get better coverage. This sprinkler is better suited for larger yards or small fields with a traveler, or even a soccer field.

The sprinkler itself does not use electricity, it is powered by pressure of the water. Electricity would only be required for operating a water pump if needed.
