- Indresh Malik is enjoying widespread acclaim for his role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar." In an interview with ETimes TV, he discussed his character, Ustaad Ji, the love he is getting from viewers and more. Indresh opened up about the famous 'Nath' scene with Sonakshi Sinha and how he couldn't hold back his tears even after the cut. He also mentioned that director Sanjay Leela Bhansali still owes him Rs 500 for that particular scene. Indresh shared how SLB praised Ranveer Singh's talent as an example and mentioned receiving several tokens of appreciation from the renowned director. He further shared his views on Sharmin Segal getting trolled for her performance in Heeramandi and his intimate scene with Jason Shah for which he was initially hesitant.

Top actresses do the roles of tawaif then why don't top actors like SRK, Aamir, Akshay have the guts to do role of Dalal, badwa, gay etc. Why do top male actors in India do only easy-peasy roles of good guys

That was not what he earned he was given as an appreciation gift for a good shot .
It was a stupid role. There was potential. Instead the character was reduced to a silly stereotype and the acting was over the top. Except for the nath scene there was nothing interesting about the Ustaad person. Not the actor's fault. Bhansali's direction was quite bad in this show. Maybe Netflix interfered and threw him off his rythm.
