- This crunchy, jammy tart is a wonderful little summer dessert. It’s fuss-free, prep-free, and turns out reliably delicious every time. It’s basically what I want a pie to be like, but much easier and quicker to make. The cornmeal adds a nice nuttiness and texture, and the sweet-but-not-too-sweet blueberry filling is juicy without being runny. You can bake it ahead of time in a pie plate, cake pan, or tart pan, and easily transport it to your next summer party.

Alison Roman is like the top car salesman with her recipes. You are convinced by the end of each episode that this is the most superior recipe on the internet
This is by far the most unhinged the editing has ever been on Home Movies and I'm living for it. Also I'm on Dan's side with the hand comment. Usually there is a fish spatula in one hand and a bowl scraper in the other (except when it's in the car).

100% browned butter was so good for this. i added a couple tablespoons of water to account for water lost just in case

Got to disagree on the 'crumbles are disgusting' position: a good crumble is a thing of wonder and joy. Blackberry and apple is the best. Ever.

I think sometimes crumble relies too much on being a crumble and the balance is all off
Used almond flour & reduced butter to 1 stick and crust was so good. Sub cornstarch for flour/ gluten-free. This tart was mind blowing deliciousness ❣️
Made this last night! So simple, so good!! I topped with whipped creme fraiche! Half cup heavy cream, half cup creme fraiche, tsp sugar, tsp vanilla paste, pinch of salt. Whip! Perfect not too sweet creamy topper!
Alison is my best friend, if she had her own Fresh Direct, I'd order it every week. I made her prime rib for Canada Day, went one step further by stuffing the anchovies into the meat.
adding anchovies into meat, can't get more peak Alison than this (unless maybe you seasoned it all with dill.)
I've made this tart 3x since watching this and I just love the texture and flavor on its on! It seriously is foolproof. Definite keeper!
I finished my crisp this morning for breakfast and immediately had to make another one. It is going in the oven now. This is addictive and super easy to make. Highly recommend!

That’s a case of not having had a reeeeeealy good very delicious moreish crumble(yummy fruit topped with lots of buttery bits, and golden and crisp on top)
I used to go pick blueberries with my Native grandmother when I was a kid. I LOVE recipes that put forward wonderful North American ingredients (corn, blueberry in this instance); I adore this recipe, I will try ASAP! Thank you so much! :)

Made this last night and had a slice for breakfast! I rarely make desserts and this is my first tart. It was so easy and it’s delicious!! I had vanilla ice cream with it but whipped cream will be so good too. I love a drier, gooey pie and this tart is the perfect balance. No runny fruit!

I made a strawberry crumble and called it "Strawberry Summer crumble" cause I only make it during christmas time lol and its just so good.
It looks gorgeous Alison, and I bet it tastes very delicious too! I’m imagining all kinds of fruit fillings (even 1/2 and 1/2)
I made this today, used frozen berries and thawed them on paper towels. Added an additional teaspoon of flour to balance the wetness. Can't wait to taste it.

Alison is seriously awesome. I feel that EVERYTHING I have seen her make is doable by me. That’s a great gift.
