That Russian giant has a really deep voice, good movies Johnny
And his character's first name. Pankrat. That means "all powerful" in Greek. Fitting such a heavy and strong built lad.
That dude had a hella dope mustache
Meet the heavy
The creation of these female battalions is sad in hindsight. They were created as a way for the Provisional Russian Republican Government to continue the fight against the Central Powers whom they felt a victory, any victory for that matter, would help cement their legitimacy as the sole Russian government. They failed in that and the Bolsheviks one-up them by biting the bullet and signing the Treaty of Brest-Livtosk that (temporarily) lose them some of their European territory for some peace and popular support, allowing them to focus on defeating the Whites and those opposing Bolshevik control...
A very ugly, messy part of history, and a lesson that good men/women rarely prevail.
probably part of the reason - the rothshil funded bolsheviks influenced with money or people in the right spaces to create as much chaos suffering and the like that to prepare for their terroristic take over of poor old mother russia
@@jvcyt298 Who were the good men/women?
@@westrim ; If you have to ask that, you won't be happy with my answer.
Extraordinary response and thank you.
This film had some decent close quarter fighting in it
This is ww1 but those Mosins look like 1891/30 variants.
Work with what you got I guess
The fact that they are based on the 1891 model is already good enough for this. I take offense if a film set in WW1 based on the British army makes use of No. 1 Mk. 4 Enfield rifles instead of SMLE's...
91/30's are far cheaper and more plentiful than original M1891's, few would even notice the difference from afar. Most of the M16's you see in Vietnam movies are later models that are mocked up.
Always an expert 🙏 😂
I will say, without hopefully starting an argument. 98 mauser best bolt action, POSSIBLEY. Balkans and Baltics made some badass effin rifles too. Probably more so than the Germans. I will say overall, M1 Grand was elite during that era. Semi auto and .30/06 too? 😮💨
Soldiers ran for the sweet bunanta but all they got was bayonets 😅
Actor who played Pankrat, he played in Brestkaya Fortress movie, he played beside this actor; Andrey Merzlikin, who starred as Mikhail Koshkin, designer of T-34, in 'Tanks for Stalin' movie.
Dide had a camera ready 😂
1:03 Lady Jessica?
...shit, it might be. she's got that weirding woman look about her
No
I don't know what I've just watched but damn good for her!
Need to get myself a Monarchist baddies like these
First learn to be traditionalist and not ghetto talk then you might get a chance with a Slavic lady.
Great film
This was such a great movie. It wasn't the crappy super female empowerment BS from Hollywood. They portrayed these warriors they way they should be portrayed. not super powered but human who fought for what they believed was right! Great Movie. high quality movie like Battle for Sevastopol!!
Peak of russian gallantry towards women i see
unlike chivalrous Germans who got 1 million Russian ladies pregnant after rape (God knows how many they killed after rape)...
ps that number, 1 million is given by German historians btw.

We had one hour for ablutions. ONE hour. Wait your bloody turn, lads.
how do you get these good looking movie clips?
Company commander looks like George from young Sheldon
Beautifull scene
A decent movie.
3:37"to dump the country like you have"
Bruh you literally have dumped the country because you act tough but at the end you are praying and almost cry
Imagine what it must have been like for her when those with whom they fought together ultimately turned out to be cowards and traitors?
Thank you daddy Johnny, very cool!
I saw this movie about 10 years ago. It's a very good movie but I doubt it's realism.
Never heard about this movie. Is it really worth to watch?
Да

A Russian fending off invaders...?
A woman's scorn
down with the tsar, all power to the soviets…as they say.
Воистину, никто не сделал для очернения русской военной истории больше, чем современный российский кинематограф 🤦.
Why they shaved their hairs?
Same reason the men did. Lice.
@@mr_clean91 I got it. Sadly, they get ugly and strange because of this..
I only want the firearms
Now THIS is propaganda
Que es esto?😵💫
A lot of fat tropes there
What did you expect? But hey, it looks decent enough.
This was back in the day where being fat was a sign of good health as it meant you were eating well.
Gentlemen and Gentleladies - I am a Veteran (USA), I lost three relatives fighting fascists in WW 2 (Nazis & Japanese); can someone from the former Soviet Union or Russia explain to me what the context of this confrontation is? I was trained to "fight" communism in the old "Cold War" way of thinking. In the nineties, I met fellow officers from the Soviet Navy in a "peace offering gathering" in Norfolk, VA. I was "shocked" to meet these highly educated professionals that had families, relatives, ... just like me/us. They were protecting their fatherland with the same spirit and devotion than we did. They suffered the same (or similar) tragedies in the previous WW II conflict... Forgive my "innocence" of "naive" way of thinking - for years, I had been taught that "they" were the "bad guys/girls" while in perspective, they were humans just like me ... with families, relatives, religion, allegiance, country loyalty, ..., just like us.
May God help us all, and I hope that one day..., just one day, we bury the hatchet and find ourselves for who we really are... fellow human beings.
Peace be with you all, Ciao, L (USN, USA).

@@kristiant96 Not all Americans are what "the world" thinks we are. One does not choose his parents or the country he/she is born in. Many of us are conservative with traditional Judeo-Christian values (Jewish, Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, ...).
Can you explain to me the context of the altercation depicted in this video? Спасибо, Ciao, L
@@lancelot1953 I don't know
@@kristiant96 Fair enough! Are you Russian, Ukrainian, ...? Ciao, L
I didnt watch movie but i know that Russian women battalion formed for political gain by Provisional Russian government. I think this is just overdramatic depiction of routed Russian forces encountering woman battalion. This movie's story sets in WW1 and it has nothing to do with WW2.
Fake history
Damn .. the orcs even got an ogre with them ... 🤣 nice fantasy movie. Hope uncle Putin commissiones more of these fantasy " ' historical ' " movies 🤣

is this movie actually good or is it just Putin propaganda?
Fuck... BRO! It's 2015 years, what the hell is Putin's propaganda to you?!
@@sem7371BRO do you think Putin only started making propaganda in 2022? I want to know if this movie is jingoistic, revanchist propaganda or an intelligent and thoughtful portrayal of women in the first world war.
@@VonTurtle8282 BRO, this is a real case during the First World War! If it's not difficult for you, read the Wiki. The Russian Empire was so fucked up that they really had to create a women's fucking battalion! There are a lot of cranberries in Russian cinema (Cranberries are an idiomatic expression denoting fictions, false stereotypes, distorted ideas, absurd and ridiculous inventions. The expression is usually used in a sarcastic and ironic sense, most often about the speculation among foreigners about Russia and Russians: about life, culture, history, language, etc. The idiom contains an oxymoron, which consists in the fact that a low-growing cranberry bush creeping along the ground cannot be spread out in any way.) And you and your "Enemy at the gate" are no better! You filmed the bullshit about one rifle for three! It's better to watch real good movies: "Brest Fortress", "28 Panfilovites", "Soldier Boy" about the youngest soldier, I can't name more, because they make films about the war so badly in Russia... I can only name the Soviet ones: "They fought for the Motherland", "The battalion asks for fire", "Go and fight" (It is highly not recommended to watch for people with very bad mentality!!!)
@@VonTurtle8282 it was actually s thing during ww1 after the russian empire fell the provisional government took over and they allowed women to participate in the war so many women's only battalion were formed one of them is the Battalion of Death which is the name of the movie or also known as 1st Russian Women's Battalion of Death
