BE SAFE, get the proper equipment, and only take jobs you are comfortable with.
That said, if you're willing to hustle and get after it you can easily make potentially $100-200 per hour by doing this. Start doing 1-3 of these a day and BOOM you just replaced your old job.

I can honestly say I've never seen a roof anchor on any house in the Southern US.
Don't think I've ever seen one either
Sound like a business opportunity
@PogChamp! Dont most chimneys I see are chipping to the point of falling apart.
Steep roofs are for handling snow loading. Southern roofs never see snow so they can be nearly flat.
Same area and NOPE
You are a very smart guy Spencer
Great Job 👏
Thanks bro!
Thanks for sharing ☺️
Anytime Milena!
Great job 👍
Thanks Zhvan!
You got some balls my friend I wouldn't even mess with that
I would've accessed the roof with a shorter ladder thru the deck ontop the roof.seems that would be safer, just have to go thru the house to access it
1:27 can’t get simpler 😄 haha, love this guy, man!
💪😂
Came here for the video, stayed for the music. Lol
Nice work bro
Love it man I’m about to start up my mobile detailing business and your very motivating especially being young I’m only 19 but know the ends and outs of business about to start up my LLC this weekend and get my ein and my business license and I’m solid should be withing next month I’m up and running
Nice man! Yeah doesn’t take much doing 1-3 jobs per day for car detailing you can easily start making more than you would with any job
I'd recommend climbing gear when you do this, you'll have much more movement and flexibility.
Hi Spencer,
My question is about using laundry detergent,
Doesn’t it suds up when it rains ?
Hey Man, what's the brush you use to clean solar panels. I want to buy the right one and not sure which one is best.!
I take it the thought is for the roof installer to place the first roof anchor (if there are multiple?) where one can reach without climbing up?
what is the white powder you were using at the end of the vid
Hello friend, you have a video where you show how to put the rope with the safety harness when you work on high roofs, you show the hooks that the roof has, but how can you secure the rope if the roof does not have those hooks, do you have a video about that?👍👍👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
You got balls of steal , you are correct, make money on what others don’t want to do, let’s go!!!
Yeah never seen one of these in Nc
Hello Spencer, love the videos and the enthusiasm. I live in Scotland UK and do the same type of work as you. We have a similar set here with the leads system online so never really out of work. Just wondering, are you a gypsy/traveller? I am. I haven't seen many non gypsies work like you.
Hahaha I would assume he's not a gypsy 😂😂
Yo Spence!
I assume you charge more if the roof is steep and you need to anchor up.
Do you charge more for it being a 3 story place compared to a single story?
What are other factors that would make the quote higher?
It comes down to how you feel. Charge enough that will make you feel like the risk, effort, and time are worth it.
Immensely informative, Spencer. Yikes. Always wondered about your most difficult jobs and this one is fits the bill. Can we assume your next venture will be grain elevators? Thanks and cheers!
Darryl
We’ll see 😂 yeah this one is a butt clencher for sure
How do debris get inside the gutters when there are no trees above the house?
What kind of leaf blower is good for wet stuff. I noticed you didn't use brush or hand to clean anything. Is backpack blower too strong for gutters?
No need for a back pack blower up on a roof. They're heavy and more of a pain to start if they turn off. Just use a handheld
Your stuff is always great. I may start offering “roof anchor” jobs to clients
What size ladder do you have?
32 footer and a 24 footer
i was standing on the top of 140 meters tower on the edge without the harness, feeling id addicitive
Sup bro, might want to be more cautious with going over the ridge with your rope, you can tear the ridge cap which can lead to a future leak. But good stuff bro, keep hustling 💪🏼💪🏼
Try buying a longer ladder. Works a whole lot faster. Oh just another guy with a pickup and 1 ladder.
I get these are probably tenant housings, but it seems like it was unsafe and necessary to set up the ladder system to begin with. The ladder could fall, your vehicle could be hit, someone could leave the garage. Why not just let the tenant know their roof top door is needed to access for maintenance?
The roof anchor is a great idea. I assume it's a standard on high pitched roofs
Should be a standard, but it’s definitely not. You can install temporary ones yourself
Man, I had a roof today that reminded me why I was being paid.
Ayy
😎
I would of climbed a ladder and shot it all out with my pressure washer. (Shooter tip) No anchor, or roof climbing required.
Could do that too yup, different strokes for different folks 💪
How I get started as beginner from 0. What basic tools to get etc
Research. Lazy
Whats the best cheap blower to get in terms of power to clean the gutter
Why not just use balcony to hop on the roof no need for ladder 😂
You didn't even say what kind of harness you use or how you secure yourself in it. Or what to do when there's no anchor pre-installed besides just not doing the job as you repeatedly said.
I've seen other roof workers install an anchor. And harness companies demonstrate the crucial literal life-saving importance of having a harness with straps for leg support that you put under your feet and stand on after a fall to prevent fatal circulatory issues from your legs being squeezed by the leg straps of the harness. Look up "suspension trauma" to see for yourself.
Not only was this video unhelpful as one could be for such a topic, but how you didn't even mention what I described is negligence that could directly lead to severe injury or de*th of the people you're making videos for.
What kind of stupid homeowners hires out for 500 bucks when he has anchors on his roof which make easy for anyone to do 😂 and if I lean a latter and my body weight on a gutter, it will break because they are plastic
Rock climber here… not safe. Consider learning the ropes lol of outdoor rock climbing to make it more safe
That's a joke.......& how many of us....do we have that option on the roof.
The question is.....how to reach the gutters in a high ranch......w/o a hook on the roof
Watched for the support, not to watch you up that high aghhhh 🫣😅❤️
