Brian, that was an excellently done review of G7th capos. I had the pleasure of meeting Nick Campling in Nashville after communicating with him a number of times prior to a NAMM show at which he displayed his capos. I got to play a few songs at the G7th booth and it was a blast! Nick is one of the most inventive people I've ever met and his genius is only surpassed by his kindness. I wonder, have you tried out The Heritage by G7th yet? It's a whole different animal and even supersedes the "better mousetrap" Performance Capo (1&2, as well as The Newport and others) which really transformed the industry, at least for me. Yes, it's pricey, but the ease of tuning makes it easily worth the purchase price. I know I'm a complete stranger to you but, trust me on this one, really. And do see if you can get your hands on one to compare it. Again, great demo!
I've had the Original Performance Capo for a couple of years now and it is my favorite capo. I'll probably upgrade the Performance 2 but still keep the Original P.
Good Review Brian. I had seen one of your previous videos about transposing and it too was very helpful. I had a question about knowing what key to transpose to or better said finding your vocal range. I by no means consider myself a singer, but in a pinch if the singer doesn't show up I can decently hold a tune. However, what I don't know know is how do I know what key do I transpose the song to, so that I'm not struggling to reach the high notes? Hope this makes sense..Thanks in advance for you response.
I once stopped using the version 1 because it ruined the neck of my Gibson Hummingbird after forgetting to remove it for one week during my holidays. Seems that the rubber of it is not good for nitro lacqer. Since then I used Shubbs. What about this new one?
I think the lacquer used on your guitar is nitro cellulose based. Some people like that, because it looks better according to them. However, it never really dries, so if you put almost any kinds of rubber on it, or play it for decades, the lacquer will wear of. Which is the reason I prefer finishes like polyurethane
Thank you for your review , have ever tried the Fender Smart capo , made in germany ; I cant find one postive reveiw about it ; me thinks it means it terrible and waste of money :{
I like the squeeze and move function thanks, buying one today.
