    I was so invested in this race by that corner you finally slid on! Like, that guy just shot in on the inside and I'm like "No! They're going to make such a gap in the corner! Keep it in, keep it in!... And the rear tire didn't like that." Hopefully just bumps and bruises for you and your bike. Also, your music selection is fantastic!

    I love watching your videos man especially all the on track videos at Barber, it really helped prepare me for a track I had never been to and let me set up some temporary braking markers, turn in points and lines to use when I first stepped on track. hopefully I will see you on track with WERA next year man

      As for the music, yeah, after I uploaded it, I thought it was a bit too loud. I just didn’t want to re-upload it. But I really do appreciate you watching and your feedback.

      Agree with the previous comment. A music is a bit distracting, I would rather listen to the engine.
      I've noticed that other riders were quicker on some corner exits. You overtook mostly on brakes. Maybe work on your exit lines and throttle a bit more, using other riders as a reference.
      Speedy recovery, see you next season!

      @@mkanalytics1355 thank you for watching and thanks for the input... and yes, I do need to work on my corner exits.. BUT tell me this, is the music distracting, as in you would have no music at all or was it just too loud and over powered the bike?

    • @mkanalytics1355
      @mkanalytics1355 9 месяцев назад

      @@smithshotracing The music is a bit of a hit or miss in my mind when it comes to videos like this one. It maybe appropriate in the intro or outro with a bit of cool cuts and action but when it comes down to full length uncut version I would rather listen to the bike since it gives me more context as to what are you doing with throttle. I think most of viewers of this and similar videos are just like me trying to analyze your riding and learn the track.
      Hope this makes sense and helps. Keep up with great work!

    It has been a pleasure watching you progress this year. I am very glad to see you are OK. I am another old man that started racing last year with my son and his wife so I can empathize with your journey. My last race on Sunday also ended, two laps from the checkered flag, much like yours. I look forward to meeting you next season. Best of luck with the repairs.... Both yours and the bikes, and take care.🙏

    Whoa. Sorry to see you go down there. At least it was a low side and not a high side. What do you think caused it? TBH and no judgement, just sharing what I saw. It seems on exits you’re driving hard out on the throttle but keeping the bike leaned in and driving out on the middle of the track, instead of allowing the bike to stand up and drive out to the edge of the track. I’m learning myself so no judgement, but this is something i noticed and have always been cautious of.

    @flyingdutchy01 8 месяцев назад +1

    Okay. Allow me some constructive criticism so you won't crash again in the future because I could see this crash coming a literal mile away.
    Basically it all comes down to your poor racing line. You almost never hit the apex. And you don't use the whole width of the track. this means that you steer in too early and you're basically going wide in every turn. You passed the 'apex' so you started accelerating but you weren't finished cornering, overloading the rear tire and making you crash.
    To fix this you have to work on your lines. Outside - inside - outside. take it to heart. I you don't touch white paint you're not using enough track. Make sure you hit the apex. At the apex your bike should be pointing to the exit of the corner. if it is not you turned in too early. You can even practice this on a playstation. Turn in hard, fast out. Have fun!

    Get some tuition, get the bike set up for you with someone like dave moss, learn about gearing " everyone leaves you behind ' ask what other people use sprocket wise each track, .......... Most of all turn that horrible music off . Good luck next year and if you listen the lap times will fall.... Oh and you need to move that thing away from your rev counter , your rev counter should be your main clock you see
