Knysna has an Oyster Festival in June/July. Just north of Knysna was the town Millwood, of the 1800's. It was due to a gold rush. All that's left now of the town are a few road signs.
Sun City originally had a Las Vegas theme. It then changed to an African theme. I saw both. In the Las Vegas theme for instance the casinos had colourful neon lights, there were shows with woman wearing those large, very feathered hats. That was before the Lost City was built. One could only go to the Palace if staying at that hotel.
The Cape of Good Hope is not the most southern tip of Africa. That is Cape Agulhas. It is also where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. The nearby town of Bredasdorp is also worth a visit, having a good Shipwreck Museum.
Forgot to mention the countless documentaries that were made or filmed in the game reserve national parks AND who are the people who narrated them. Also paying respect for those who are not alive to this very day like Dian Fossey. A lot of people would like to know. It is part of our African knowledge. NATURE with George Page and the National Geographic's (Specials).
That statue it showed in Port Elizabeth is not of Queen Elizabeth, but of Queen Victoria. There is another one outside Parliament in Cape Town. Port Elizabeth incidentally was not named after Queen Elizabeth, but Elizabeth Donkin.
I'll add that one can look at it this way - It could not have been named after Queen Elizabeth. That's because Queen Elizabeth 1 reigned from 1558 until 1603. Queen Elizabeth 2's reign began in 1952. So, Port Elizabeth would not have been named after someone from back in around 1600. Also, Port Elizabeth got that name in 1820, that's 132 years before the beginning of Queen Elizabeth 2's reign. :-)
