Good video 👍 thanks for sharing that, I lost the bolt where the C clip is on my second outing, I had checked everything was tight before too, I used one from the front bumper to get it away, the C clip stayed in place luckily
i just joined the 1/10 ftx club, got a 2nd hand bugsta for 110aud (57gpb) so this was a handy checklist. servo saver had its clip, but the (original) servo is shot. amazed it steers at all, the servo saver did not. And there's 2 cracks in the chassis where the front bumper screws in but its not broken. I suppose the way to avoid the chassis breaking is to not crash it into brick walls eh. I think I got a bargain ! can't wait to get an MG servo in it and give it a proper test run btw, gt85 is teflon based (pfas forever chemical), good for not attracting dirt, but try not to breathe it. I use the "all weather oil" that cyclists use, basically 3in1 oil with teflon
and today a vantage 2.0 for 100aud(52gbp), wasn't a scratch on it! and I can get an outlaw as well for that price, I did want to try that short course suspension. I wonder if I should make it a hattrick. Certainly will be handy for spares to have 3 cars on such similar chassis
@@PopalongRC I've already run 2x2000mah 2s packs thru it, great handling, love it! stock servo is a bit sluggish, but I already have a couple of servos in the mail charging my overvolt 6000mah now to feed that hungry brushed setup i'll do a banggood brushless upgrade on one of the other ones, so long as this doesn't cook itself will keep it brushed for now with a better servo.. and some cooling added since its coming up to summer here
Having issues with the slipper clutch rear gear housings cracked I have replaced it but now the wheels will only turn when the car is lifted off the ground but when u sit it back on the ground it won't work #Noob 🤦🏻♂️ any help would be appreciated
@@PopalongRC Thanks for the reply buddy I have sorted it now I had put the rear gearing in the opposite way around what a school boy error wont be making that mistake again haha 😂🤦🏻♂️
Hi Mark , Carl when you adjusted the camber/toe on the bugsta do you use a setup gauge or is there a way to setup the car without one. I’m in the process of upgrading my ftx vantage with some alloy parts and wondered what was the best way to setup the car eg ride height, camber, toe Thanks in advance
Hi Tom, you could invest in some set up tools, but really unless you are racing they aren’t really needed. As a rule of thumb if you are going over rough terrain then you want the car high as not to bottom out. If you are on short flat grass or tarmac then you want it as low as you can get it (without bottoming out) And have slight toe in on the front and slight Camber on front and rear. Also this depends on your driving style. Keep things even on both sides. But if I’m totally honest many of the races I’ve won is where I’ve learned the cars individual characteristics and learn to drive the car. So many people spend too much time setting up and tweaking that they actually make things worse. So to sum up, set up the car to a good base level, learn to drive it and have fun.👍
Take the clup off go outside and throw it in the bin . Then take the screw out and slid a WASHER in there and put the screw back in and never slips out again . END OF PROBLEM ..
Dont waste your time or money on these rubbish e clips Buy an alloy steering set there £11on ebay and it's a screw down nut just put small bit lockite on it and you never have any problems again with steering I got one these on all my cars as the e clips and the plastic tube part keeps braking or falling off. There are rubbish 100% rubbish . Buy alloy up grade .
Just lost the e clip on my Bugsta and remembered this video. Very timely! Thanks.
Love your videos on the ftx vantage.
Cheers buddy more racing coming soon

It is something I have overlooked and I will be keeping an eye on it from now on.

Brilliant advice mate, its exactly what i do to my Outlaw after even run, i go over it and clean it out thoroughly with paint brush and then GT85 😁
Definitely helps your cars last when you apply a little tlc
How do I loosen the servo saver?
Good video I use gt85 awesome stuff it suples the plastic also draws out the water.👍

Sometimes there is a small grub screw on the drive shaft that comes loose and then you lose drive
I’d check that as it’s a quick fix

Yeah you don’t want to do that …
@@PopalongRC Took me about 2hr to figure out what was going on but finally got to the bottom of it haha 😂🤦🏻♂️

Is it worth it ????
@@PopalongRC well I snapped the plastic one so I put the ally one on. I'm yet to try it out
Good luck
Let us know how it goes
Nice video🔥🔥👍👍💯💯
Literally watched this yesterday and found the eclipse missing today. Car was wobbling badly when reversing.

Yup I've done the same used copper washer from plumbing supplies that C clip is useless
