For inputing the codes on the PSP, I find that using your thumb to hold Start and Select at the same time, and index fingers for each shoulder button, helps to free up a finger for the actual button presses

Man this definitely speeds up the process. One thing that I always found tedious of this version of the game is earning money and buying cars you want. The fact the game pays you out more the longer the races just makes it monotonous. Especially when there's only like 4 drivers, including you, out in the field.
Me and my friends had a simple solution to it. Set the track to the Nurburgring and max out the laps. Then host a LAN match and fix it so that the host wins (take turns). Then put the vehicles on auto drive and sleep off. Next day you are 14 million richer!
Tried this on my PS Vita last night. Worked perfectly. You can only do the credits cheat one time but I haven't tested it spending any amount and redoing it gets you back to 99m.

The most difficult licence tests are with the GT-R on the nurburgring. I remember you play parts of the ring one at a time. then the whole lap. gild was tough 🥇

I remember being so excited about this when I was a kid... I was still waiting for GT5 to come out (which seemed as if it would never happen) and then my uncle gave me his PSP1000 as a hand me down around the time this game was announced. I was a bit disappointed there was no real "career" mode, but considering that all the past games completely overwhelmed me, I felt it wasn't too bad for someone whose age was in the single digits. I did have a very hard time grinding credits though (I didn't really understand that adding R3 tires to your car would give opponents in faster cars, and I mainly raced on the Motegi speedway) so I never really got to use many of the racecars. I did manage to play on LAN with a relative who was visiting from overseas though, and we found you could gain extremely large amounts of credits by racing against each other - but I only got to play with him the one time so my collection remained rather lacklustre since then. Seeing that my phone can run this on PPSSPP in the present day, I think this might get me back into playing a bit.
afterwards there is an easy trick to get money on the version we have you need the nissan z version the orange you start in A the race which goes in circles you just have to press speed you tap the sides but you stay first at the end in 2 turns in 40 seconds I win 100k in 6 minutes we win more than 500k 😉💰💰💰💰
I lost like 5 save games of GTPSP due to swapping fried mobos and consoles since you can't transfer the save file to another one, in multiple ocasions with all licenses done and over 400 cars already bought. I cheat at every chance i get because i don't wanna grind for everything again
Sacrilege! Nah it's fine. GT1-3 cheats in the future someone? Fair button layout for the cheats. All cars cheat defeats the point of this game but still. It's a fine game for PSP. But yes hard to press. Oh max credits huh. Well it's not a all tracks S rank cheat which might exist but it's easy to play through them. Well if you have the game digital prior to its license/removal. I don't so I missed out on a Vita download of GT PSP from the PS Store. I have a physical copy. But have tried an emulator to test the memory card detection with save files in this game due to the encryption Sony/Polyphony put on it grrr, so I'll try both. I swear it's the only game that does it, for cheating sure but if cheats or Dev work arounds are in the game it makes you question it other than Sony messed up PSP encryption so eh. What a pretty effective GT PSP DRM protection or prevention methods I'll give them that. It's just stronger than it needs to be I think then if it were for cracking protection only. Yeah rebuying the colours is worthless but yes first colour is fine. The dealership idea was cool but annoying it did take ages. Never got far I think few hundred days in. Before killed my save for research. Was too late on the Vita experience but for PSP the cheats will be interesting. Grr that memory card encryption save file nonsense from Sony. Thanks to the server saves of Sport/7 these days I think started with the GT PSP version, GT5&6 don't have that at least from my testing but I haven't moved a PS3 save file between the two PS3s I have only them off a USB from the 1 PS3/to see it regenerate or use the backup. So I'll have to check that and these cheats out on a blank memory card less PSP I have. I don't save cheats. I did my Medal of Honour Frontline ones but any other games no. Also that PSP keyboard is very cellphone era. It has its charm.
Had I known this cheat I wouldn't have to drive Test Course in maximum laps for hours on end with a Mitsubishi HSR-II Concept complete with a rubber band on the R button to keep the accelerator pressed to earn money while I went to school. I still have my PSP, maybe I'll give it a go.
Now if only I could get the cheats to work on GT2…. Or was it portable? The next one I mean, I prefer having more tracks and cars and less linear “stories”

Not for me though, this game doesn't have a gt mode where you grind for everything if I put these 2 cheats what's the point?? It's so much more satisfying to make money and expect the car dealers to be available on a specific day, or even find one I was expecting... It's just me though

I tried the cheat when it was first announced and it worked! Ironically I was getting back to playing GT. And while my first save data was gone. I remember all the cars I used to own back then. I used the unlock all cars cheat and frankly, it's the best cheat if you want to try all the cars in the game yet still grind for cash if you want to get other cool colors of each car available in the game.

What makes this so crazy is that it essentially gives Gran Turismo 5 cheat codes, because you can import your GTPSP garage into GT5's arcade mode.

You can get rid of the jidder in the game by changing Video Output from PSP to TV Output in the settings.

This rocks because it almost makes just downloading a save and uploading it useless because at that point you can abuse the other achievements
I tried it but it didn't work, I use the ppsspp emulator(mobile)

1:35... Yeah it so f... hard to enter the cheat in a real PSP xD
Imagine there is cheats in like GT3 or 6 or whatever but no one has founded them yet

I think using the money cheat would be fun, still get to buy the cars as they appear but no need to sweat over grinding races out.
