For portrait shots for insta I usually just bit the floater with the camera on its side, for the landscape shots that I turn into youtube edits I tend to use the floater and mouth piece because I find it hard to film too long biting the floater without my jaw getting sore. But the nice thing about not using a mouth piece is that you can just tuck the camera into your wetsuit easily.
@@jasonofmontreal Thanks & much apppreciated! Also FYI, I replaced my set of Pivots with Orbits on the basis of your big air kite review, and instantly increased jumps by 20%. 👍
The only time I've ridden a surf board was in Mauritius, which I can't recommend enough. There is a video of me there on my channel also doing some waves. In NZ we have lots of decent surf spots, but its not easy to get the right wind at the same time as a clean swell
Yeeeeeeeet! Etc
Awesome riding and awesome spot🚀🚀🚀
Thanks Thore, it's the best we've got just about.
Awesome! are you just biting onto the camera back door floaty or was that a chest mount?

Yo!!!!!
this spot looks insane with these tides
Definitely one of the best big air spots in NZ
yeeeeewwwww🔥
that's the one 😂
Is that the Apple watch you are using to read jump height? And if so, could you recommend a non Apple alternative?
The garmin watches are the best. They have excellent read out, can be very cheap, and have crazy long battery. Most of my friends use them.

@@mikehannan8206 haha, that's awesome to hear, well done!
I know this isn’t really your style but are there many good waves spots around you?

One thing wrong with this video.
It's not long enough.
haha, cheers Mat, hopefully, some big winds, and my 2023 Orbit 9m coming this week so I'll definitely be filming something even better if they do ✌
@@jasonofmontreal is that a atmos carbon you're on? Trying to decide if I want the carbon or hybrid for choppy wellington :D
@@moffmo I'm on the Carbon. The Hybrid is definitely a little nicer on the knees, but slightly heavier.
