I really like this rescue, it may have too many people there but they did everything right, got a vet, got the firemen, put down bedding so she could get out, got her energy up, they gave her the chance to do it herself- gorgeous horse btw, remember to get some doors on that barn next time and don't let her roam near it

That is a man who truly loves his horse. Very touching. Some people wouldn't even waste the hay to help raise a horse out of a hole. Props to the farmer and the firefighters. It is amazing how much strength only 10 people can have when an animal is in danger of dying. Moving a 1 ton animal with raw muscle and pure strength is not easy.
I went from happily sipping my morning coffee to crying in less than 3 minutes 😂 So happy the horse made it out okay!!! As a firefighter, I can say those guys handled a tricky situation very well!! Great job!!!
I dislikesd it because the horse had a halter on. There is a possibility it was put on her after she was found, but I don't think so. She was lucky that the buckles didn't get caught on something and it didn't tear her head up or caused more injuries

So happy she got out! TLAR (Technical Large Animal Rescue) is a HUGE skill that all rural fire departments should have world wide to keep them safe.

Fill up the hole with dirt. We had a pony who did something very similar. Took us almost four hours, but we got him out.
