another good tip for playing Zac:
If the enemy is too fast for you to hit your Q, or manages to always hide behind minions, just Q a minion for a sure hit and auto the champion after. It deals less damage, sure, but its a guaranteed way to get the knockup and start your CC combo against skilled enemies.

Nice breakdown! I main Zac top lane but have attempted support a few times to middling results. This video helped me confirm a few aspects of my playstyle and address a few things I wasn't sure about.
Just one correction in the video, though: at 5:35 you say "Anything that you can autoattack with Zac can be used as the second half of his Q," and while I wish that were true, there are a few exceptions that are important to know about (there's a pinned post on the Zac subreddit that's dedicated to these interactions). Luckily for support Zac, the two most common exceptions are vs top laners: Gangplank barrels and Illaoi tentacles.
Well now I'm just mad, thank you for this correction, I should have done a little more digging on this and known that there was probably some spaghetti code somewhere form Riot. Also thank you for checking it out, means a lot that you love Zac and found this video useful.

So I was tilted from losing on my unfun picks that were broken and I figured he plays similar to Alistair and picked him as a tilt pick.
After I won I figured I would look up his winrate on support.
Turns out Zac is the highest winrate support.
Now I found this video which explains why I did so well on him.

I too love Zac and Zac Support. I just ranked him an S tier in my most recent tier list video
Do I put way too much merit into Ultimate Hunter? I bring that on nearly every champ... I've been using it on Zac and am afraid to change my ways.
Gosh that's tough, I too am an ultimate hunter lover. If we look at the numbers max stacks ultimate hunter gives you 31 ultimate haste (~23% ultimate CDR). So without considering other ability haste items, the rune at max potential is giving Zac 23 seconds off his level 3 ultimate cooldown. Effectively letting you use it ~20% more often.
If you're not part of the 25% of players that build lucidity boots on Zac, I'd definitely say it could be worth it. And honestly if it fits your playstyle better and you like it go for it! Too many players are slaves to opgg and blitz and such, you gotta find what works for you!

hes still good, just a lil weak until lvl 6, but goes flying from there.
