Grinding a Pointless Bonus Stage for the Perfect Run.

No one can style on the barrel bonus stage like Seth. He gains a huge amount of speed when landing his stomp, which means that if he uses his wall jump, he can go for quite a while without touching the ground. I wanted to put a run together that exploited this, went for maximum style and still destroyed all of the barrels. This took ages.
This bonus stage isn't even very difficult casually but it's usually very boring.

The barrels change direction based on which side you hit them. You'll notice that, for the most part all of the stomps are hit so they don't change direction. However at 00:26 a wall jump is spaced to hit a barrel very slightly on the opposite side, causing it to then move to the right. Therefor allowing the following j.hk to hit and destroy it. This also leaving Seth in the correct position for the rest of the bonus stage.
Forward facing Chun Li CAN hurt you. She is in your walls right now
Except she stopped vibrating and is now stuck in the wall.
Pretty sure a lot of thirsty people would *love* Chun-li to hurt them as long as they could also get her to stop when they wanted. (The safe word is "Super Art III".)

I still love SF4! It's hype that people still want to watch SF4 videos even though SF6 came out less than a year ago.
That Floor Is Lava part at the end reminded me of the Kairi challenge in the Street Fighter EX series.

@@deskcombo there’s rollback for psx games now and netplay for sfex2 has started to become a thing more, it’d be awesome to see you revisit sfex and spread the word about the series!
@@deskcombo There's the Barrel Break mode (which is a goldmine for messing around like this) and there is also the Trial Mode, and one of the trials for the character Kairi in SFEX2+ is staying in the air for 10 seconds doing essentially what Seth is doing, against an idle opponent.
BTW SFEX3 too is full of all around fuckery with the Tag system and the character Ace, who can be assigned custom movesets!

1:36 This "The floor is lava" part is the type of "pointless stuff" i love in video games. I love finding ways to air stall as long as possible in any game that allows for it.

Bruh that minigame was extremely easy
You just needed to time a heavy attack on the barrels before it hit the ground/you.

it's actually pretty easy. there's just no one button solutions to it
@@HellecticMojoI believe Gen crunching Crane heavy punch can hit every single orientation of barrel. You might even be able to get the fast ones if you can hit the 3rd to last one meaty.

The glitch with Zangeif happened to me when I used him and Blanka for those bonus rounds
Reminding of PS1 SFEX+Alpha of the fun you have with its barrel bonus stage like being able to do command grabs on the barrels. And of course, the evil Black Barrel of Doom near the end.

Funny how the end feels like just normal Seth gameplay given how much he got jump at the majority of characters anyway. Still fun to see _SF4_ again (without Elena or Yun).

Actually it's the opposite, it marked the 10 year period of street fighter (4 to 5) where the series decided to just stay in the shadow of sf2 after the experimental and daring sf3 flopped hard and almost killed the franchise, it distinctly lacks an identity if it's own that's not derivative of 2's

Zangief was easy mode for all the 1p content in this game, it's one of the things that made me really start liking that character bc before i found that out i always struggled with this stuff to unlock the colors and secret arcade mode fights
