2019 Falcon is $160! I guess I accidentally said $200...
How can LEGO make the Millennium Falcon playset better in the future?
Can you take the pod on the front of the solo falcon and put it on each falcob
Not make it blue and white xD
Make it smoother looking. Less studs showing.
I think the new one is the best, but there are still some odd gaps. Just try their best to get rid of gaps, and maybe a little more snot/tiling. Still, love the 2019 and 2011 models a lot
Give it the small pot Rey used in episode 8 make it a little bit bigger and of course includ a good detailed Han and Chewbacca
As a teenager, I used to hide my weed in the 2004 model. Could pass any imperial inspection lol

I really want there to be a falcon that:
1. Has good stability
2. Has an escape pod
3. Has Smuggler storage
4. Is based on the final Death Star battle
I can’t believe LEGO never did that

I think the 2019 one is the best model, but I just am not crazy about the minifigures in it. The 2011 one has the best minifigure selection for OT fans like me. 🙃
Agreed bro, agreed.
Do it like me, just put the Minifigures you have in there. Or buy some new, unused minifigs from Bricklink. I put the Empire Versions of Han and Leia in it. You already get Chewie and C-3PO with the set.
The sequels were trash but the 2019 millennium falcon is really good
100% agreed. If the inside of the 2011 model wasn't so sparse, I would have definitely chosen that one as my fave. If only we could get the 2019 model with the 2011 figs...
Yeah absolutely. So good they added the Vader even though he never gets on the falcon
I remember getting the 2000 version as a kid and then later seeing the 2004 model advertised and thinking it looked so much better.
Honestly, I never considered buying a Falcon until the 2019 set, not including desperately wanting the UCS set. It’s really just gorgeous to me and the other sets are lacking in comparison.
UCS set is so big. But i agree with you
UCS set is minifig scale and the most accurate but it barely has an interior.
My favorite is 2011 just cause of the nostalgia
I have it as my favorite as it is last OT Falcon. Plus it has Training Remote and is the last Falcon with cargo behind the mandibles.

The 2018 has more playability because of the escape pod
is what lots of people keep saying despite the original two having escape pods, just in different places, so maybe they should both win playability. Just a continuation of your comment.

I'd say it's a toss up between the 2011 and 2019 version. The 2011 has nostalgia and the better characters on its side but the 2019 has better engineering and price on its side. Not to mention it's easier to get since it's new. I guess it comes down to personal preference.
I know it may be unpopular, but my favorite is the solo one. The Falcon looks so sleek and so nice to me and I just love it. Also, the Solo style Han and Lando are just great figures. I do see why people like the others more though.
Yeah same here. It looks so sleek and smooth.
I agree
I definitely appreciate the Solo movie falcon a lot more knowing that you can take out the escape pod to make it look like a proper falcon. Thanks for the excellent reviews

I say the interior of the 2000s model isn't that bad. That being said, the 2011 model and the kessel run one are my favorites. Not that the kessel run one is very screen accurate, but it's very fun, especially since you can take it apart and build it into other things.
Why is the solo/2018 model hated so much? It has a great color scheme, dope looking Lando and solo figures, the escape pod gives it a great looking shape, it looks crisp, it's unique. Why are people hating on it just because it's different? The only flaw I see is the gaps between the panels, but that's it.
Blanabs BananaBlast ikr. I understand the hate towards the MOVIE, but not the set itself.
@@joshuayun7159 and why is that? I really enjoy watching Solo and I don't understand why people don't like it. Because of actors? And Kessel Run Falcon is great, I agree

Yeah to me it looks amazing
My definite fave of the six is the Force Awakens version. My favorite Star Wars movie was the Force Awakens, and it really feels like getting the Millennium Falcon without Han Solo is just wrong, so the 2015 one is the clear winner for me
@@Phenris have you even seen episode 1-6?
Finally !!! I was waiting for this video for months! I spent all my time searching that comparison on RUclips, and finally you made it.
You're a god, thank you Ryan 🤩😁👍
The fact that the new one from 2019 has no gaps is fantastic, I hope that I will get the 2019 one someday, I have the 2015 one, I got it the year it was released. The 2015 one is super cool and I think that it’s one of the best out there for lego Millennium Falcons not including the UCS versions of the millennium falcon’s . The 2015 and 2019 million Falcons have pretty cool figures and that’s another reason why I also want the 2019 millennium Falcon.
I still feel that the space in that front area goes underutilized in the newer Falcons. Those small compartments with the little canister inside are just so much fun.
I was lucky enough to receive the 2011 one for my birthday this year and I couldn't be happier with the choice
My grandma got me the 2011 falcon for christmas way back when I was 8, and it was my first "big" set and started my love of lego star wars, so it'll always have massive nostalgia value for me. Happy to see it so high on the list even after so many more new ones!
Basically every MandR comparison video:
Winner - UCS
Second place - The newest one
Third place - The one he is nostalgic about
Last place - The oldest one
Normally the oldest one *IS* the most nostalgic one.
Personally I like the 04. Both because I have that one and it was the model used for the video games. I may give a newer model a look soonish but I think the 2004 displays better. It's higher details in key places make for interesting display options. Including recreation of icons scenes.
Imagine having the original one and you friend had the 2004 one XD
Fun Fact, the 2004 set is in LEGO starwars complete saga
And Lego star wars 2: the original trilogy.
Dud that is the escape pod, in solo they shoot coaxium into a beast, that’s why, Han modified the old pod space after

@@Icelandic_Sand Yeah I really wish they went further with the 2000 one's design. The ones after that just don't feel right. The 2019 one is a good step though
Thanks so much for this in depth look!
I love the escape pod feature so it’s a shame it was only on the older set
2019 all the way. I just love how accurate it is, plus I have all the OT characters already, so I can easily use it for either era.
very true but if i get it im taking out all the figures and replacing with the original cast
I put Han in the cockpit and Leia in the back, but kept the other figures anyway because I still think they look cool
My favorite is the one from 2004 because it is the most faithful to the original model, and also because it is aesthetically more beautiful than the others !!
2004 set deserved better in that review!
I don't think ive ever been so happy to own the 2011 falcon
Lego needs to make a falcon that’s around $300/$450, that offers a more immersive build like the UCS but more of a average size, the UCS flacon is already proven to be far to big in terms of scale so I think someday we’ll get a falcon that is extremely movie accurate and I hope it’s going to be based on return of the Jedi, that way we have, the crew (Lando & Nien numb” who take possession of the falcon in the destruction of the second/last Death Star along with, Chewbacca, R2D2, C3P0, Luke in his general Skywalker robes, Han Solo in his classic outfit just updated with the black vest and Leia in hopfully the outift she wear in the briefing room during episode 6 when the rebellion are discussing how to blow up the Death Star. All that for $350/$500 id happily pay.
I wanted the UCS Falcon so bad…until I realized the interior of these are better
You could make a video where you build a millenium falcon from these sets and put in the best parts from these falcons
What?
Like a Frankenstein falcon?
The first looks so vintage and rough, but at the same time so awesome!
I believe that the solo falcon should have won the playability because it has an escape pod
Yeah, just like the rest of them.
I mean the one in the front
I think the 2018 one should have came second cuz its cool
I agree
Sectro_ultimate_bomber69 6 yeah
I like the 2000 one as a pure nostalgic piece. All the old design techniques and pieces. That escape pod has that canopy and hinge that I haven't seen in modern builds, but I saw it everywhere in the sets of my childhood.
Apart from the Fugly 2000 one, that was a hard call. So thanks to you Ryan I’ll be collecting them all 😁

Richard Knight While I don’t agree that it’s the best, I do have to say it’s a VERY under appreciated set
Nope
It has no playability.
Just dug out my 2004 Falcon.... man I forgot how beautiful it looks. I still think it holds up today, sure the newer models have better details in places but I think they lost real creativity with the other models, having no escape pod is crazy.
The second best design is the 2019 model.
I think that the older sets still deserve more credit. This is a similar case to the Mario 64 vs Mario Galaxy debate. The newer ones may be more defined and have more features, but they have the older ones to work off of. All of the details are there, except over time, the people in charge find ways to improve their craft.
They do, I thought the 2004 Set had a better interior to the rear by the hyperdrive compared to some of the others that came after.
The old 2000 'Millenium' will be worth quite a bit. Quite a rare one to be honest. Almost a 20 year old set.
I have the 2015 falcon but have always eyed the 2019 one because it can easily pass as an OT falcon with the circular dish. That and the no-gap design looks really cool

I personally think the 2015 one is the best because, while it does have the gaps in between the panels, the design is personally my favorite. (I don't know exactly why, but the mandibles don't look right on the 2019 version.)
i agree. the mandibles have wider gaps between them and the main section then any other version. not to mention the 2019 version has no interior compared to 2015

Super helpful video. I have the solo story falcon and I do like it, but I’m not a fan of the blue panels and I’m looking to pick up something more classic. What’s your favourite non Star Wars Lego set?
Peter Fitzmaurice The Apollo ideas set
What about apocalypseburg and stranger things?
Peter Fitzmaurice I mainly buy lego Star Wars and wasn’t into the LEGO movie 2 sets. The stranger things one does look really cool though!
Wait. You know my comment was for ask mandr, don’t you?
I have the 75257 Falcon, while it's a great set I did notice some downsides. This isn't an exhaustive list:
1. Gaps. These are solvable but annoying to chase down, including that gap between the mandible and the cockpit. OK I get that they pulled the cockpit back, but there was no need to do that, so that went forward a little so I could close that gap at the back of the starboard mandible. ~180 classic pieces to fix.
2. Landing gear. I like retractable landing gear. Using the existing Technics parts and some more Technics and Classic pieces, I managed to make 5 retractable landing legs that fit on the existing chassis. ~175 pieces.
3. Walls. Probably Classic 300 pieces to add walls and correct the fact that there's no through route into the cockpit (which now has room for FOUR seats).
4. Forward escape pod (took some artistic licence here). 450 pieces to thicken the mandibles so they were level with the bottom of the cockpit (why did they use the same cockpit as the UCS model??) and add the escape pod which sits in the existing rails.
5. Greebling. Nearly 100 flat tiles, greebles, skates, phones and various other random bits to add some character to the topside, particularly the rear of the saucer.
6. Underside bulking. Because it's shockingly flat. This also allows you to create the tail bulk for the escape pods and move the landing gear down so there's actually enough room underneath for the minifigs to WALK UP THE RAMP. ~100 classic pieces.
So there it is. For the price of the 75257 Falcon and three Classic buckets (for a pool of 2340 Classic pieces plus the set), plus a few Technics bits borrowed from my son, a huge amount of fun just messing with the build, making it "better". I should probably look at adding a rear launch escape system - which I think is doable, there's certainly space under the drive section.
Now all I need to do is get over to Bricklink and buy the right colours...
Just finished rebuilding my 2011 falcon, really cool!
