The fact that he says Novak as the goat is not that surprising. Most of Isner's game was the serve, Novak was the best returner, no debate. Of course Nole was the most difficult for him to face.

Contrary to what everyone think I'm pretty confident peak Roger is 2017. I think he was there a much better player than he was in his most dominant era (2004-2009) but the circuit was more packed.
Only his stubbornness at the US Open semi final against Del Potro (he persisted with the lunacy to play against his DRIVE all game) got in the way to go 3/3 on GS at fucking 36 years old.
It is also the era that I most enjoyed. He made us believe again.
