The full 10 minute version of Heroes and Villains.....note the subtle references to Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue....(i.e. the United Airlines theme song....)
After hearing so many versions of this awesome song, I always wonder which edit would have actually made it onto the sMile album had it been released. I think Capitol , wanting commercial success, would have insisted on a mix that they thought would be commercially successful( not a mix that I would have necessarily liked). The reason I say this is that, having heard the entire sMile content, Capitol would have deemed heroes and villains the most likely “pop” sounding song out of all the tracks. ( just my opinion)

@@channelchenes4541 nope...that is the one that ended up on smiley smile
@@thewkovacs316 Nope! The vox and sequencing is different.
Well, that's not really a suite - more of a complete SMiLE sessions medley...
True, it's almost a smile-impromptu. Lol
I'm curious, where did you get this version? I haven't heard it anywhere else and I really like it.
The "Odeon Records" Bootleg of SMiLE from around 1990 i think.
Brilliant song and tunes all the way through!
Interesting version , I like all of Heroes & Villains suites/songs etc
