    Thank you so very much! I forgot about the "activation of the frame" when I told my sister. I also learned that I can send a video as well. Thanks a million.

    We got one for our parents, but it only worked on my sister's Wi-Fi during set-up. On our parents' WiFi, it continuously kept saying 'Signal Lost' despite inputting the correct WiFi password, therefore never adding new pix confirmed through the app. Further, it was placed within 10 feet of the WiFi hub, so distance was not an issues.
    Finally, the menu button on the back doesn't do anything nor is mentioned in Skylight's online help. Now granted, we don't have the annual paid subscription, it looks like that menu option is still not functionable. We're returning it & checking to see if Pix-Star will work better, especially since it allows connection to a Google Photos album.

    Have two of these and can't get the sleep mode to work on either one of them. Put my own timer on one of them. What am I missing?

    Nice Straight forward presentation. I am looking for the ability to send and receive photo's/videos, from PC and or phone, but also looking to be able to do a video call between the frames at family homes. What do you recommend for that combination. Additional Alexa capabilty a bonus.

      The only thing that I know that can do this, and do this well, is the Nest Home Hub Max: bit.ly/33EVm21 - Obviously, it supports "Hey Google" over Alexa. I haven't been impressed with any of the Echo Homes.

      @@WeTriedIt Will look into it via your link. I'd hate to have to buy one item for family video meetings, and set up a 2nd one for wifi connected digital frame to allow back and forth photo and video exchanges.

      The Nest Home Hub Max does both. It sync with Google Photos really well

    Does the frame rotate or can you only display it horizontally??

    • @WeTriedIt
      @WeTriedIt  Год назад

      Only horizontal. If you upload a vertical photo in does a nice little effect on it, see here: wetried.it/skylight-frame-review/

    I am within 2 feet of my router and modem and it will not connect so I can do nothing with it. A replacement was sent and that is doing the same thing

    • @WeTriedIt
      @WeTriedIt  Год назад

      Do you know if you have multiple bands? 2.4 and 5 ghz are the main ones. I believe the router only supports 2.4. It may also be too close and causing some interference- have you tried setting it up like 10 feet away?

    This didn't really seem like a review. This should be titled "unboxing". If you are going to title it 'full review' then I feel like you need to have a part of the video that discusses your thoughts on it's performance and features and compares it to other similar products and things like that. Great, informative unboxing video but I feel a little duped that I didn't get enough 'review'.

    Why is the quality of the photos so bad and blurry

    • @WeTriedIt
      @WeTriedIt  3 года назад

      The quality is really good. I also have a Nest Home Hub and the quality is pretty similar! Not quite as good as an iPad, but pretty close!

      @@DanMstylesEnt Weird! How are you uploading them? The app or via email? If via email, your email service (or phone) might be sending them lower quality. Is there any way to look in your email to open up a sent version on your computer or something?

    Your video spends to much time looking at the back of the frame. I was interested in what is on the screen.
