Hey awesome video, I'm super new to iracing and still pretty rookie-ish to sim racing as a whole but these videos are super helpful. I was wondering how do I download and use the ghost I can't figure it out on the discord
Hey and welcome to iRacing! =) Check the #faq channel on discord, it's explained there. Should you still have struggles you can always ask there for more help
Hey and welcome! Lap files are on Discord and include the ghost car from my lap, which you can drive against in your practice session. On the Discord server it's also described how to use them/where to put them/how to activate them. Garage61 is an app, which is linked in the description. It's free and used by many iRacers, and allows you to compare your telemetry and inputs with those of other drivers to improve.
Awesome. In that first corner I felt crazy for feeling like I needed to get back on the throttle after the first turn in but I see you are doing it here too. I have seen other videos where they are on the brakes the entire time through all of the first corner until the last apex. I don't see you blip at all, is there a reason? Do you just feel it's not needed? When downshifting if I don't blip the car wants to spin out sometimes
How you take the first 3 corners depends on driving style and how comfortable you are with the car. Some drivers like to coast as shown in the video but others (me included) like to use a tiny bit of braking pressure (around 5%) when approaching the apex of turn 2. The important thing is that you slow down just enough before turn 2 that you don't run wide on the entry of turn 3. It's one of the best corners to practise "slow in, fast out". Blipping is only absolutely necessary when you're downshifting early while turning and/or braking. I feel more comfortable blipping the throttle a tiny bit but that's because I prefer downshifting early. If you downshift later when you're going slower and the rpm's are lower you don't need to blip, but you still can if you want to.
Thanks!
Thank you! I appreciate your support!
Let"s get it! Thanks for another well done tutorial!

Sorry, I asked this on a previous video too haha. Forgot it was the same channel. Still getting the hang of it and like to hear people's approach
