9:20 oh, it is so adorable to hear you baby breathing 💖 makes me want to have another baby, but my 2 almost grown-up kids are still plenty of job for me, so I guess i just wait for grandkids 😂 I am new to the channel, so I don't know if it's your first baby or not (congrats btw ❤), but I still give you a little tip. Babies are very sensitive to mommy's emotions. When my kids were babies, it seemed like they always were fussy when I needed them to sleep so I can do my things. With second one I decided to trick him and when I had plans and needed him to sleep, in my head I pretend that i have all the time in the world for my baby and not in a rush to do/go anywhere. I kept myself calm and relaxed (needs some practice), and oh wow, baby immediately calms down and goes to sleep, and mummy is free 😄 of course it only works if baby doesn't have issues like colicky belly, rush, he is fed, clean and warm.., then they really need their mummy. 12 years past from my last breastfeeding but your baby cries and my brain sends signal to my boobs to make some milk 😂 gosh, nature is so strong! Thank you for the recipe 🧡🎃
I’m on clue 2 as started late (wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it or not and then decided to join and had to wait for yarn to be dyed and delivered) . Loving learning. Love seeing your little one have cuddle time…my boy is now 25!
I really enjoyed watching this! Can't wait for next clue's video :) I did the MKAL for the first time last year but everything that happened made it not enjoyable so I decided to not enter this year. But seeing your clue 1 I'm kind of regretting that! Good thing you filmed then I can experience it through watching your vlogs (:
I’m so, so happy you made time to record (and edit) this! I remember watching your MKAL videos last year and I loved them. I’ve not joined the MKAL so your vlogs allow me to feel part of it all! ❤ I think your shawl at the end of clue 1 looks magnificent, I love the semicircles all joined together. PS. Good luck with the baby 🫶🏼 I actually just realised I didn’t knit at all during the first year of my daughter’s life (I think I just didn’t make it a priority). I’m so impressed by you! 👏 💪🏼
Hey girl!! Thank you 🥹💜 they’re a lot of work but it’s so fun to share the process with the world. I’m realizing I’m a bit of a workaholic for “working” while on maternity leave 😅 I hope you’re doing well 🌼
I love how your Go Go Dynamo is turning out so far! The colors are beautiful on you. 😊 This first clue is giving me very Art Deco vibes, especially with the shades you chose. The perfect eyeshadow palette companion would be the new Nomad Chicago Speakeasy, which I've already been eyeing, so maybe that's why I'm seeing it. 😄 I'm so impressed that you got it done, AND that you posted a video about it, all while juggling new motherhood. You're already doing better than I was those first few months with a little one. ❤ Can't wait to see what Clue 2 looks like! 😊
I love your colors! I want to start over using your colors. I appreciate you making these videos with a baby and everything going on. The pumpkin bread adds to the excitement of fall! Thanks again! #excited#letsGoweek2
Such a lovely vlog and your project is coming along beautifully. Thank you for sharing- i really wanted to participate this year but it wasn't possible for me so its great to live vicariously through your knitting!
Hi, Escarla. I don't participate in the MKALs, but have kits for the Slipstravaganza shawl and the Starflanket blanket (which I'll probably start this winter). So, I pick and choose for future knits. Your shawl looks amazing, so far. I usually watch Stephen's updates, but your videos are a more concise and more fun way to catch up.
Hi Escarla, your colours are beautiful, and you did an amazing job to get it done while looking after your beautiful baby. I’m on Garter Stripes 2 (joining one semi-circle to the next). I’m finding it very difficult to start and not happy with how the first 4 rows look. Did you struggle with this part? Any tips? Thanks 🙏
The start of the garter sections are wonky I just tried to maintain tension and kept at it. Watching Stephen’s video helps to but you probably already did so.
Love the vlog! Your video last year inspired me to do the MKAL this time around. However I’m BEHIND. Clue 2 is out and I’m just working on the first garter stripe triangle for c1. Question for all: are there other places community is gathering to talk MKAL progress? Ravelry forum doesn’t support conversation well. Instagram is too static. Maybe discord? This is my first MKAL so I was hoping talking and sharing would be easier I guess.
Thank you so much!! I’m so glad you decided to join in on the fun 😊 from my knowledge the ravelry forum seems to be the go to. I’m not a fan of their interface either and mostly just use it to peep what other people are making.
Great start!! You are plugging right along.
That wee baby nestled against you gives me all the cozy vibes. Congratulations on your baby as well
Thank you 😊

Thank you!! I totally agree with the art deco vibe. It was a close call to finish on time but I’m glad I made it with baby in tow 💜

Hey! Those will make great winter projects. Thank you so much. That means so much 🥹 I appreciate you watching!
I can't believe how much you got done in one week with a tiny baby in tow! Go go Escarla!
Hehe thank you! Embracing super mom energy 💪🏽
