Love your colours Amy👌. I knit with speckled yellow and off white and take 1 strand of mohair in the 2 colors for the whole shawl so it becomes warmer and squishy. A new start, a new love perhaps for someone lovely 🥰

I did watch Stephen the other day with his instructions on the first “leg of the shawl” and I concur with you that Stephen Is soooooo fabulous at providing clear, concise and explicit content. I love your color choices! That lallybroch color is stunning! I like seeing a more muted palette, I'm doing the go go dynamo shawl as well. I started a bit late so I'm not as far along as you! I'm using a greige ( beige gray) and a blue-ish color way. Best of luck! 💜

I'm knitting my very first MKAL and loving it already. I loved the proces so much that I knitted away so fast that I finished clue 1 on saturday, and vow all the ends in on sunday. I have followed the MKAL for years from the outside. But the fact that it was only two colours this year made me decide to join in. I really love your colour choice its so beautiful and harmonius
I just found out that Jess/Ginger Twist will be at my LYS for a pop-up the weekend of Rhinebeck and I'm going to be in Edinburgh in November. Can't wait! :D Love your colors!
Your clue 1 looks wonderful! I’m participating in the MKAL for the first time this year. I had four skeins in two colours that I had been holding aside for a shawl one day. It seemed like it was meant to be. And I’m so glad I did decide to join. I’m going quite slowly but I’m really enjoying the process.
Stephen's MKAL came into my life via your sharings -- so I love that you're doing these short updates, Amy!! In relation to the card you pulled..i can feel the invitation of the contrasts I am working with ...the dark and the light yarn choices (one of westknits kits for the MKAL) and in my life so so directly...in relationship. The invitation is to not resist the differences as they are bringing the best out in both of us!

As always your colour choice , card reading and encouragement are such an inspiration. Even though I’ve been knitting for over fifty years🤪! This is only my third shawl ,the other two being Stephen West MKAL’s which I have absolutely loved making and wearing. A knitting adventure!
Slowly working my way through clue 1. It is interesting to see it knit in a lower contrast than I have chosen for my shawl. I think that seeing all the variations being knit all around the world is the best part of the mystery!

They were all twisted 4 ply merino and I like to work in singles. To my surprise, when the kits arrived, Morgan, the dyer, had dyed a set of singles in blue for me and gifted them to me. I was quite overwhelmed and grateful. I just had to share my good luck with you and to say that, I feel that this MKAL is very extra special to me.

I just finished clue 1 last night, and am so happy with how mine is looking. Mine is high contrast with a hypercolour contrast yarn, and a dark blue main colour - it will be very eye catching… 😂
