I can't wait to see your tunisian crochet journey. Thats something I would like to try in the future. I gifted myself an advent earlier this year so I've been slow with knitting that up. Returning to work was so hard on me and I even got covid after two days of working. I feel the same- the need to create and knit to keep that creative side to me. I find it hard to get knitting time in. I found an in person mom support group and that really saved my mental health until I can make more time to knit. Loved the video as always and what a cute little red hat!!

December is all about socks for me. i have the freckled whimsy advent socks plus a homespun house 4 sundays of advent sock sets. hopefully ill have 5 socks sets done, and i got a cross stitch advent to do as well. its a gingerbread house you do a small bit every day until finished. happy holidays!

Glad being back at work has been smooth sailing so far :) I love the cardigan colour; I have a North Ronaldsay fleece of a similar fawn colour and I am so excited to spin with it. I had not heard of this Spinuary (?) idea before but that sounds like a good idea once all the gift knitting is done for Christmas! I'm working flat out on Christmas fibre gifts - a tapestry weaving for my parents, knitting a headband for my sister-in-law, and a neck wrap for my brother. Problem is I am new to knitting and may have been overly ambitious with the patterns hah. We'll see how that goes!

I didn’t realize how much I didn’t knit for myself because I was doing so much gift knitting. This year I am only giving three gifts. They were in process. Now, I am focusing on myself. Other people will still get gifts, but I am making knitting for me my priority. I am looking forward to your Tunisian crochet adventures. I can relate for your need to be creative. I didn’t know that I needed that until I started knitting. It’s art and a very fulfilling process. And yes, I can see how that is very similar to you as well. ❤🧶

You know it's really handy (for a beginner knitter like me) to see how you construct a cardigan in miniature! It's much clearer seeing how you do it than when someone is sharing a big adult garment that's hard to show in full in one clip. Happy holidays 😊

I loveeee pattern roundups <3 It's a fun look into the personal style/inspirations of the person making the roundup. :~) I'm doing a 100%-me-crocheted set of Christmas ornaments for my tree this year! As I've found the patterns I like best, I've taken several side-steps to make some as gifts as well. There's a four-round crocheted snowflake that can be DIY'd into a picture frame ornament that I have become obssesed with this season -- the Photo Snowflake Ornament by Celtic Knot Crochet <3

Nicely done. I’m wondering if you ended up carding the short undercoat? I’ve processed many fleeces but avoided dual coated because I didn’t want to deal with 2 lengths. Rhinebeck has some nice fleeces but the prices are more than I dare spend. Just bought a large ( “black” but not as black as yours) corriedale cross in West Springfield MA a couple weeks ago and I, like you, spend hours processing. Yes, it’s tedious but I love the crimp and everything about the wool…except for the really dirty areas. Mine was quite dirty as it hides well in black fibers. I guess you could call the price dirt cheap..😂 New subscriber.

OMG your little guy breathing into the mic at the end😭 Such a sweetie. That stinks the Big Twist yarn doesn't work for you. It really is pretty but I do notice it getting weird at times. I've only made accessories with it so it's not too bad.

Its nice to see unfinished work in vlogs, as you say its realistic for you but I think its the same for a lot of us too!
