Jack has been a beast, man. Dude is maybe the strongest LB in football, just watch him destroy anyone who he gets his hands on. And that hit on DK to force the fumble - people in national media kept saying he "punched" the ball out, but that's not what happened. He blasted DK Metcalf, maybe the strongest WR in the league SO HARD from the right side that DK just straight up dropped the ball with his left hand without Campbell contacting the ball at all. It was fucking awesome, and he's rising.

I agree with the comment above on the jokes etc. a little is ok but I tune in for football. Get Chris to stay on task.

Hey Jeff my name is Todd from Clarkston Michigan I try to catch you every time I can. You know I really do enjoy your show but would you do it with the other guy Chris I think that's his name it's just one big giggle fest and it's so annoying that I'm ready to hurl after about 20 minutes. Please continue to do your show by yourself, that's really Kick-Ass I enjoy that immensely. There was a old-time player that was on a podcast and he was saying that they probably should put these boxing gloves you know the big 16 oz gloves on to our new rookie, I think that would work pretty good the only problem is it probably embarrassed the s*** out of him but so what... Sooner or later he's going to cost us a game and all these guys who busted their heads off for 60 minutes are not really going to care whether or not he's embarrassed or not. Well, do a good job you always do thanks man.

    Awesome mail bag great questions
Agree with you about using D Mont too little. I get the feeling that they’re keeping as much tread in tire for December and January. It will be interesting to revisit this at that point

3-1 at the Quarter Pole of the season -- not too shabby -- GO LIONS!!!

I think Tim counts as a surprise if he takes off. Yeah people were talking but most of it was "why does Brad keep signing injured players?". We got excited about DPJ and Allen Robinson too. If Timmay takes off it'll be huge. Especially if we have "problems" later in the year.

Jeff the Lions might be waiting until later in the year to put both running backs on the field. Don't show your cards until all bets are in.

Haason Reddick? or Trey Hendrickson? 🦁🏈🙏🏼🤞🏼🍀

    • @oldfortolong
      @oldfortolong Месяц назад

Trey I think for sure. I say Trey because I believe the Bengals need to do a soft rebuild or simply just a retool their defense. Trading Trey for a 2nd and a following year 4th would give them some potential pieces. Trey is 30yrs old and he would be better for a team like the lions instead of the Bengals who need new young pieces.

I don’t per se agree they’re not using Montgomery enough. I think they understand how instrumental he is if they don’t need him to win why put the miles on the tires.

Brad Holmes has been excellent with draft picks, so I hesitate to give away draft capital on a free-agent gamble. In Holmes we trust!

Amen on the PFF grades. How the hell does a QB go 18-18 with no turnovers and a catch and get an 80?! The only explanation is that the graders were dinging him for not throwing to other players - and that's something that any analyst with integrity will tell you is something you can't know for certain about the play call and design. Really absurd stuff there - and they did not review that game on video on their YT channel that I can find.

The Lions won the game against Seattle, but if they hadn't, Ben Johnson would have gotten A LOT of HARD QUESTIONS about that safety. Bullet Dodged.

Seattle's offense did score 29, he 100% caught that 2 point attempt

Pretty bizarre gripe from Jeff considering they're getting as close to a 50/50 split as possible. Monty has not been unstoppable, teams have been able to clog up the rushing lanes and limit his effectiveness for long stretches. The Seattle game was a perfect example.

After the first game "they"were saying we don't use Gibbs enough. Whichever one gets more touches, someone will complain about the other.

I think with the kickoff, the NFL needs to move the kicker back 15 yards and put the back of the end zone out of their reach.

Houston may just need more time to get his mojo back. What happened at the end of '22 was no illusion.. iI would be stupid not to give him a chance to heal better & get back into form.. He's certainly no old man & there is no reason to believe he can't get back to better than he was!

It's time to stop crying over draft picks. He has his team mostly built. If he used even a 1st rd pick because he thought it would put us over the top, we'd be fine. He'd still have enough picks to supplement the roster he already built. We don't have to build an entire team anymore.

Making a big trade hasn't been Brad's thing but he knew he needed every pick at the time. He'd make the most of fewer picks like always. He's GREAT in the draft, now show us you can make the move that puts us over the top.
