I love the old role play stuff! I had the He-man set with the silver shield, and the 2-sided sword, one side was silver, I think the other side glowed in the dark, or it was maybe yellow. Also had a gijoe set too, had a helmet and goggles or I put those together and have a picture of me wearing it standing with my grandparents about to go to church on Easter. lol, I doubt they let me go in with that on though.
Pixel Dan... you're the freaking man...I just wanted to say that.. you are one of the few people on RUclips that need to be syndicated...I was heartbroken when they took Toy Hunter off the air... but I think you could be the next syndicated toy show
Wow, that sword bring back some memories of when I was a kid. I have not seen that blue and yellow sword for a long time. I live in the suburbs of Chicago and went to a Disney on Ice show with my sisters and cousins as a kid and got that sword.
Great video. If you are in the Chicago area you should visit Reel Art in Berwyn Illinois. Great toys, posters, magazines, etc. Nik and his crew are just great.
Always love these toyhunt video's :D Tomorrow i go on a toyhunt in my country on a toyshow called 'in the toyzone', in the Netherlands :D. Can't wait !! I at least hope to find some Captain Planet stuff, but also some more of my wishlist would be cool :D
I’m going to vote that you keep formats to the platform they were designed for. The vertical shots are frustrating on an iPad or TV, and even on a cell phone (because of the black framing making it even smaller when uploaded to RUclips) out of the context of the platform that they were designed to be seen in. Of course you don’t want to have shoot seperate footage for each social media format, so perhaps you have to choose what kind of videos go where.
Love the story about the Disney on ice sword. Totally get the nostalgia cravings I recently saw a corgi muppets animal car . Its matchbook hot wheels scale I had as a kid. And I'm seriously debating collecting the whole line. Speaking of collecting the line what are the chances this time next year you'll have a few of those swords with different character stickers
Hi PD. I usually watch your videos on my phone. What I really like about these is to see and notice everything that's on the shelves, which is more difficult with the smaller screen.
the vertical camera is not fitting at all for the sweeping shots of what the shop has available, it's so limiting! One of my favorite things is seeing those sweeping shots and trying to spot any hidden gems that you don't mention
Dan, the dates make sense since Estrela only released MOTU in Brazil in the mid to late eighties, along with the cartoon. It'd normally take 2-5 years for people here to see what was released in terms of comics, media and toys before in the US.
I feel like I had that sword also, but not from Disney World on Ice. I feel like maybe they handed those out at alot of events. Might have gotten it at the circus.
More of a "Look at my stuff" video, rather than an actual toy hunt. I think I like watching the full hunts, rather than the clips. I also don't have any other social media accounts, so it's just personal preference.
Let me Guess doing a toys of TMNT Book now. I think I almost have a good majority of the Vinatge line now.I got everything from 88-93 except Scratch & Hotspot. & I have a majority of the 94- 97 stuff too. Just harder to find guys I need. Just got gatekeeper rocksteady & warrior bebop recently.I think the highlight of my TMNT is the news van.But I am waiting for super 7 to do their scratch & I be fine with that TMNT is my other toy line. Transformers is my first & main. & Power rangers is my 3rd.Yeah Bric a brac records. They never got backto me calls or email service or facebook. I wanted that apollo raph saw int your video. Only one missing from my apollo turtles.I tried contacting them numerous times & they never got back to me.
ProTip When filming with your PHONE, turn it sideways!!!!!! that makes it that the video, screen filling when exporting for editing, so you don't get those annoying phone screen dimentions on your tv.. You are better than this Dan. ;)

Great video Dan. We need to start a petition to get Pixel Dan a cameo in the new MOTU netflix movie. Such a legend.

This He-Man sword was very common in Brazil during 80s. I even had a yellow one. It was produced by toy company "Rosita".
Nice Turtles power

That shield glows in the dark and it came with the power sword that lights up and has a black hilt that looks like a flashlight lol I miss mine
Surprised you haven’t started using the short feature on the you tube app
I live in the area and I've never heard of these stores! I'm going to try to check some of them out someday.

I had that sword too, so it also made it's way to the YJ.
Man! A TMNT book would be rad to go with my 602 MOC Collection. Hope you make it cause I'll buy it ASAP.
Have you been to Ka-Pow!! Collectibles? It's a tiny space but it's absolutely packed with amazing merch.
Did you just tease a turtle book like your motu one? Sick.
I feel like I had that sword also, but not from Disney World on Ice. I feel like maybe they handed those out at alot of events. Might have gotten it at the circus.
@00:32 I take it that you are working on a TMNT Playmates Toy Encyclopedia book?
