hey love the boat just ordered the 2021 z18. took ur word on the 175hp pro sx. not sure if they had it in 2018 but the storage drawer ur looking for is called the under deck storage drawer . its in frt of the passenger side where the feet are resting. i ordered that as well cause i didnt want the second console. tight lines cant wait..
You’re gonna love it man! I’ve been eyeballing that storage compartment. They quoted me several hundred for it and I just haven’t bit the bullet on it yet. You won’t be sorry with the 175, congrats!
Something you might try with your two lowrance ti . Hook both to the down scan side scan. Then use left side scan on one unit and right side scan on the other. It makes it a little easier to see i have heard.
I have a z7 2014. Same boat just older. My mercury 175hp has had 3 oil res tanks on it. My experience if it’s not transferring oil make sure all lids on storage tank is tight tight. Also it could be the check valve letting it back flow. It’s brass on the oil line going into your small res. Oil filter small white clear inline filter before the brass check valve. My boat has been beat up for 7 years and it shows no cracks like everyone says. The boat runs 65-67 normal depending on load. No boat issues only motor
I was re-watching your vid again and the seat issue from what I heard is common on some of them, but what might help preserve that is use a leather conditioner for cars and that stuff. Might help it last a bit longer a stay in decent shape.
The oil tank issue is due to air in the system or a faulty sensor . You can fix yourself by urging the air from the system. . The sensor o's a tank replacement that is 3 or 4 bolts . Have them send you the tank put on and purge air . That's probably the cause of your issue
I suspected this for sure, they told me they already swapped the tank once...I don't believe them though since they told me during the same service that they re-carpeted my trailer bunks and it was obvious, they DID not. I cant believe a word they say now.
Nice vid! I would love to get a nice little upgrade from my 99 Tracker with a 50. I want a Nitro bc of their quality. On my first ride in a Z18 I was like what the heck this is pure luxury. I probably want a z17 or a z18. Both great. Nice vid man
My last boat was a 1986 bass tracker I had for 12 years. Almost upgraded with a 195TXW but when it came down to signing on the line I went with what I thought was a better built boat. As you mentioned, my first test drive was luxurious 🤩
Great video. I have a 2022 Z18 pro, quick question, do you have the PVS plugs in your prop? im having problems getting on plane, i have a hydraulic jackplate

Pretty solid for its size. Certainly not the comfort of a 21 footer though. Of course, speed and navigation abilities play a big part in your comfort level but I’ve have it out in some sketchy Okeechobee weather before and she’s up for the challenge any day, It can get rough but safety never a concern.

The RT188 is a nice boat, I came from a tin tracker so I leaning towards an RT188 at one point. I go out with my kids a bunch and wanted as much floor space as possible for an 18 foot class boat. The RT seemed a little tight for me so it got eliminated. The dual latches do not bother me one bit. Everytime I open it it’s pretty much with two hands turning and pulling in unison. It’s not something you wouldn’t get used to in a hurry. The only other boat I still consider wanting is a Vexus 1989CC. I love in FL so naturally, it would make a good dual purpose boat. The lack of a recessed trolling motor foot pedal is probably why I don’t own one now. Love my my nitro tho.
@@FillALimitFishing Yeah you’re probably right about getting used to the center console quickly. It does look like Nitro gives you the most for your money when considering the major brands of 18ft fiberglass bass boat
I just got my Z20 pro, I got it from a local dealer who we have known for a long time, 2 questions does the boat have any problems with water going in the compartments and does the hull scratch easy?
My compartments stay bone dry actually which I’m very impressed with. I did have water in them one time driving through a absolute down pour here in FL but it wasn’t much. Not too impressed with the hull situation, but my hull is black and from what I understand a very common problem to scratch up by the trailer bunks. The rest of the hull is spotless after 2.5 years but where it slides up in the trailer bunk, no bueno, had it buffed out once and it was back 2 or 3 trips later. I live with it, not a huge deal.
One year after warranty fuel gauge went out as well as the Speed ometer and I had a bitch about putting oil in the reservoir should have came with a outside oil cap(fill) but over all I have the 175 runs great lot of room
I haven’t committed yet, but I may be there myself on Sunday. May go to poga, or back to the big O. If I go to placid I will be doing a lot of scanning looking for a group of pre spawners offshore around the southeastern and norther parts of the lake. Hey, thanks for the trolling motor tip…I’m still rocking the dang maxxum, actually have repaired it twice myself already hah, it’s gotta go soon. Mines engraved onto a small metal tag on the transom, starboard side.
Does the boat fit in your garage without lowering your power poles? Is it a standard 7 foot garage door?
No, I have to lower them each time to pull in/out. Not a big deal honestly, unless you are the type of person who habitually forgets their drainplug, haha. Accidents can and will happen...The top of the poles are 7'-2" from the ground on my boat. Yes by door is a standard 7 footer.
@@FillALimitFishing lol I would be more concerned with the “pulling out of the garage at 3:00 AM thing and forgetting to lower them. Thanks for the reply.
I would get an ultrex 80# 45'" over the ghost unless you are going to upgrade to live or FS units in the future.
Go back and get the snap in sandwich tray for the cooler.
Do you know if It is available on the 2018? I sure as hell would like one. I can’t ask my dealer because they are awful, BPS of course. I tried to get in touch with another dealer a little farther from me the other day and haven’t got a call back from them either, really struggling with customer service right now.
I do not really plan on FS or live in the near future at least. I’ll prob end up with the ultrex and save some cash. Thanks!
The tray is available, I will get the pet number for you when I go back to work on Tuesday
Awesome, thanks!
How fast does it run with that setup?
60 all day tournament load, 64 and she starts walking on me. She scoots!
Have you been on oakachobee lately.
No! It’s been a while...I plan on going in the next week or two though, fingers crossed.
Just moved here from the Carolinas planning on hitting it Tuesday or Wednesday went last week nothing just trying to learn how to fisharound here getting tough tried to Cape Coral canals did okay not too many big ones
Masked Deplorable
I moved from SC little over 3 years ago. Fishing can be fickle. I don’t go to the cape much anymore, I couldn’t connect with anything over a pound but I know some guys do catch seven to fish there. I fish Okeechobee a few times before a FLW college event years ago, haven’t been on it as much as I should probably since I’ve moved here though, navigating the big O has always been a concern for me but maybe I’m overthinking it. Scared to fudge up my boat haha! If I’m not fishing the caloosahatchee I’m in Sebring fishing those lakes.
@@FillALimitFishing haven't bee. To river get was scary at the big O but ganna learn it they said they hitting so ganna go don't wish to mess up my ranger either but got to give it a shot
Masked Deplorable
I feel the same way, it’s too good of a fishery to avoid it. I’ll be launching from Harney pond when I do go, I’ll just take it easy, find an area and fish it thoroughly to get my feet to wet again. Water is high so it’s should be pretty safe now. I went a year or two aho during the dry season and got stuck 2 times. It wasn’t fun, been avoiding it since then haha.
Nice video.
Got a 1987 Stratos with a 150 that’s all I could afford working mans boat and I guarantee you it’ll do just as good
I owned a 1986 tracker for 12+ years. It was a great little boat, really all one needs. Whatever it takes to get on the water, all that matters!
“Older boat”… as I putt around in my 2002 lmao
😂 i putted around in a 1986 Tracker for over 12 years before this one so I definitely know what an old boat is, thing was practically held together by 3M 5200 😜
I love this boat... lol except everything about it
To each their own, i believe it’s a fine vessel.
Get the hot foot you will never go back I have the same boat with a 150 proxs 4 stroke.
I know I know! I will eventually add it.
I disagree. I have a hotfoot and rarely use it.
Say "man" just one more time.....
Just messing with you. Thanks for an honest review. I'm looking to order one soon.
Haha yeah, I know it’s bad. When I watched it first time I said what the hell, sound like a high school teen with the word LIKE. Something to work on 😂. You won’t regret it, awesome fishing package.
Let them keep talking crap on Nitro. Keeps the price down so a normal guy can afford to get into a glass boat.
Amen, I love my boat!
Power poles are the biggest waist of money and space ever invented.
You obviously are not from Florida or do any sort of effective shallow water fishing. Sorry you feel that way.
@@FillALimitFishing Thank the good lord above that I'm not from Florida. I have been fishing shallow for almost 50 years and can do with a trolling motor what the same things y'all can do with those goofy things hanging off the back of your boat.
my favorite is when someone makes a rude, pompous comment but doesn't even know how to spell.
@@ccalxr Seems yo gut yer fill-ins hert
You have no idea what you’re talking about. I wouldn’t own a boat without raptors/power poles
